About the role
- Delivering high-quality engineering drawings that support critical change proposals, ensuring every detail meets rigorous standards for safety, accuracy, and compliance
- Working across multiple projects, collaborating with engineers, project managers, and technical authorities to bring complex solutions to life
- Lead process improvements, mentor junior team members, and engage in technical investigations
- Contribute to national defence capability by supporting NZDF Naval Fleet engineering change
- Participate in technical investigations and ensure compliance with defence engineering standards and statutory design regulations
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- CAD certification or equivalent experience
- Electrical CAD drafting proficiency
- Technical documentation and drawing standards
- Engineering change management
- Risk assessment and safety awareness
- Multi-project coordination
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Stakeholder communication and presentation
- Knowledge of defence/naval systems
- Must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Capable of obtaining a New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) Security Clearance
