Plan, design, develop and introduce provision, modification and maintenance of material handling facilities, transport, packaging, processes and systems for optimal material flow to support Production, P&A, Localisation and Export projects
Analyze, maintain and control Logistics Planning Contracts by liaison with VWS
Plan and prepare detailed logistics material flow concepts, layouts, drawings and job specifications
Conceive, design and procure logistics facilities (stillages, pallets, dunnage, trolleys, racking) and packaging
Define detailed project plans, prepare enquiry requests, evaluate quotations and negotiate with suppliers
Prepare appropriation requests, purchase requisitions and budget prices for corporate investment programs
Arrange project/facility/service acceptance and hand-over, conduct equipment demonstrations and trials
Draft and update Logistics Material Handling Contract specifications and convene stakeholder meetings
Requirements
Degree or National Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Logistics
3 years’ experience with logistics processes within an automotive manufacturing environment
2 years’ experience as a project engineer in Logistics Planning or equivalent planning environment
Good planning, organizing and decision-making abilities in order to meet tight deadlines
Able communicator with good written and verbal skills
Proficiency with producing, understanding and interpreting 3D CAD drawings
Full computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint and Word
Advanced Excel skills required
Experience with SAP systems in Supply Chain Management advantageous
German language proficiency advisable but not essential
