Create multiple view 3D and 2D drawings with accurate details, section views, and dimensions for shop, fabrication, and installation in Revit and/or AutoCAD
Revise drawings in accordance with marked-up prints, sketches, written, or verbal instructions provided by other team members
Create bill of materials and change order lists to communicate job requirements that ensure order accuracy
Collaborate within the team to understand the project requirements and bring forward recommendations
Coordinate drawings with architects, engineers, and other consultants as needed
Research and obtain specifications/details from vendors for custom items as required
Provide technical support to internal customers
Lead space planning, layout, and utilization of furnishings, both new and existing, using understanding for value engineering and furniture supply chain program
Adhere to schedules and adapt to changes as needed
Accountable for accuracy of design and take-off for technical and process standards
Maintain knowledge of lab furniture market, supplier base, and SEFA laboratory standards
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Engineering is highly preferred
2+ years in drafting/design role with a high-volume organization preferred
Proficient with Revit and AutoCAD required
Experience working on lab renovations or new construction is highly preferred
Experience with metal casework is a plus
Experience with 2020, SAP, and/or C4C is a plus
Experience with Bluebeam is a plus
A combination of education and work experience will also be considered in lieu of degree
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to read and understand specifications, construction documents, and architectural drawings
Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
