About the role
- Lead and support quality improvement projects to enhance product and process performance
- Develop and implement inspection, testing, and evaluation procedures for products and production equipment
- Design and specify inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment
- Conduct quality assurance tests and perform statistical analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Assist in the creation of engineering documentation including PPAP, control plans, daily inspection sheets, TPA, AS412 instructions, LATs, and test summary reports
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Ensure corrective measures meet reliability standards and documentation complies with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to uphold quality standards
- Provide support across design, incoming material inspection, production control, product evaluation, inventory control, and R&D as it relates to quality
- Support new product launches and provide quality input during development
- Offer feedback and recommendations to leadership to drive continuous improvement
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Chemical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Degree required
- Experience in chemical processing
- Experience with pyrotechnics
- Familiarity with statistical tools and quality methodologies
- Demonstrate strong listening skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Apply DOE and SPC concepts for process control and improvement
