About the role
- Provide comprehensive account support to a client or group of clients with limited direction from senior team members
- May be first point of contact on some accounts and support in delivering service to book of business
- Prepare and deliver renewal and proposal presentations for clients including regulatory information and enrollment guidelines
- Guide clients through the renewal process, request renewal exposures, and submit requests to carriers based on renewal timetable
- Review and support enrollment, benchmarking, financial and utilization data based on financial review standards
- Identify opportunities for adding other lines of coverage or services
- Process or oversee change requests, certificates of insurance, account summaries, proposals, policies, and account balance status
- Maintain relationships with internal and external business partners and carriers; analyze market trends and advise clients on policy changes
- Assist Producers with marketing campaigns and seek opportunities to increase knowledge of insurance contracts, carrier underwriting guidelines, and coverage options
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members such as Account Coordinators
Requirements
- 4-8 years of related experience and/or training preferred
- Life and Health License
- Working knowledge of available employee benefits coverages based on business and industry
- Demonstrated problem solving and solution-design skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient at rapid prioritization and time management
- Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar software, including spreadsheet and presentation software
- Proficient in use of agency management software; able to quickly learn new systems
