Provide care to a variety of pediatric patients in an outpatient setting requiring day treatment therapies.
Administer infusions to pediatric patients for a wide variety of conditions including, cancer, hematologic conditions, Crohn’s disease, juvenile arthritis, genetic disorders, transplant and research.
Provide post-anesthesia care including phase I and phase II recovery following radiologic interventions/treatments.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including, proceduralists, specialty providers, APPs, child life, scheduling, and radiology.
Set priorities adapting to changing patient and unit/clinic situations.
Work in two of three care areas: day treatment therapies (e.g. infusions, transfusions), sedation for procedures as well as pre-post anesthesia care.
Schedule: 100% FTE, Monday – Friday with varied start times between 6:00am – 9:30am; no weekends or holidays.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
6 months pediatric nursing experience Required
1 year recent (within 2 years) experience in Pediatric Acute Care and/or Pediatric hematology/oncology and/or Pediatric Sedation and/or Pediatric PACU or pre/post anesthesia area Preferred
Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin Upon Hire Required
