Program Manager – Puppy Mill Initiative

Operations

• The Coordinator, Data Operations supports donor engagement and stewardship efforts by ensuring the timely and accurate execution of campaign, acknowledgment, and fulfillment processes.
• Working closely with the Membership, Fundraising, and Data teams, this position is responsible for executing recurring audience selections, supporting fulfillment activities, maintaining data quality standards, and assisting with reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Prepare, validate, and distribute donor data files to support campaign execution, donor communications, and fulfillment activities.
• Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all deliverables.
• Generate recurring and ad hoc reports that track fundraising, digital engagement, and donor performance metrics.
• Support analysis of email, SMS, online fundraising, and campaign performance results.
• Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure data-related deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.

Coordinator, Data Operations

Director

• The Senior Director of Shelter Medicine Training (Senior Director, SMT) works within the Shelter Medicine Services (SMS) team, which provides shelter medicine expertise within the ASPCA and externally to veterinarians, shelters & rescues, and other stakeholders.
• The Senior Director, SMT oversees and engages in the training and supervision of shelter medicine residents, develops resources on shelter medicine topics, collaborates across programs to support the integration of shelter medicine principles, and serves in strategic roles in veterinary and animal welfare associations to promote positive welfare for animals and communities.
• As direct supervisor of the Director of Clinical training, who directly supervises the residents, the Senior Director, SMT engages across ASPCA and external program partners to provide a residency program with comprehensive shelter medicine practice experience encompassing direct clinical care and population level care to animals in shelters and community clinics as well as completing a clinical research project.
• The Senior Director, SMT also engages in training and mentorship activities with shelter and community clinic personnel, veterinary professionals, and students to advance the field of shelter medicine and the practice of community animal health.
• The Senior Director, SMT reports to the Vice President, Shelter Medicine Services and Veterinary Training Programs (VP), who also serves as the Residency Program Director. The Senior Director, SMT has one direct report.
• The Senior Director, SMT collaborates with the VP, the Director of Shelter Medicine Clinical Training, ASPCA programs, and external partners to provide a robust training program for shelter medicine residents; the Senior Director, SMT will be expected to assume Resident Advisor responsibilities in alignment with ABVP Shelter Medicine Residency requirements.
• The Senior Director, SMT provides training through direct care in shelter medicine clinical practice at both individual and population levels, demonstrating strong clinical skills, clinical confidence, intellectual curiosity, and resilience.
• They engage across NYC-based ASPCA programs to support the integration of key shelter medicine principles; support sheltering organizations through consultation, training, and the development of resources on shelter medicine topics; and participate in trainees’ clinical work as well as their consultative work with shelters, clinics, and veterinarians.
• They play an important role in the continued growth of shelter medicine as a discipline by serving in strategic positions in veterinary medical and animal welfare associations.

Senior Director, Shelter Medicine Training

• The Manager, Resources & Engagement, plays a critical role in supporting the success of the ASPCA’s Animal Relocation program by leading workforce processes, operational systems, and cross-functional coordination, while fostering a connected and engaged contingent workforce.
• This person in this role will partner closely with senior leadership to align staffing, develop workforce strategies, and ensure safe execution of transport.
• In addition, this manager will oversee key operational processes, including invoicing, payroll, safety compliance, and standard operating procedure (SOP) management.
• The Manager, Resources & Engagement, will also serve as a central liaison across teams and functional areas, driving communication, planning, and coordination efforts, while managing internal communications, digital content, and department-wide events.
• The Manager, Resources and Engagement reports directly to the Director, Performance & Engagement and has no direct reports.

Attorney

• Researching legal issues and drafting memos related to various corporate issues
• Providing legal counsel to the business managers on intellectual property and general business issues
• Reviewing and drafting various corporate contracts and other legal documents
• Conducting background research to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws and internal policies

Legal Extern

• Provide warm, welcoming, supportive, and timely communication with students and veterinary professionals; serve as initial point of contact to provide a seamless response and follow-through on requests.
• Manage day to day administrative tasks and provide project management support, including but not limited to taking and organizing meeting notes and action items, managing travel reimbursements and stipends, and leading the administrative aspects of coordinating ASPCA training programs.
• Work closely with the VP to develop and maintain relationships with veterinary and veterinary technician schools to ensure working relationships with student services offices, student clubs, and other educational stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Legal and program teams to ensure all student paperwork, permissions, and appropriate licensure is completed prior to the start of each trainee’s programs.
