About the role

  • Support Marketing Strategy and Data Analysis. Assist in refining the team's marketing strategy by analyzing customer data, market trends, and performance metrics. Use tools like Google Analytics and data visualization software to identify patterns, dependencies, and opportunities within the existing customer journey. Propose data-driven optimizations to drive website traffic, expand customer segments, and contribute to revenue goals.
  • Carry out marketing activities. Execute hands-on marketing tactics to support frontlist and backlist sales goals, including drafting, building, optimizing, and scheduling single-send emails, email sequences, and automated flows; building, deploying, and optimizing digital ad campaigns across platforms like Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads; and collaborating with team members and external developers to create and refine landing pages, product pages, and Amazon pages.
  • Conduct Data-Driven Research and Insights. Survey customers and target audiences on product elements such as titles, designs, and topics. Analyze product strengths, weaknesses, and marketability using quantitative methods; support Product Managers in evaluating ideas by providing insights on customer segments, demographics, KPIs, and potential new markets. Reason through complex data sets to estimate addressable market sizes and recommend innovative approaches.
  • Assist in Planning, Executing, and Evaluating Promotional Campaigns. Contribute to campaign development by analyzing performance data, suggesting angles based on insights, and drafting compelling copy. Track KPIs in real time, evaluate results for engagement and revenue impact, and propose thoughtful adjustments. Work across teams to collaborate on cross-company initiatives.
  • Support Creation of Marketing Assets. Help manage graphic and visual requirements by providing data-backed feedback on photography, graphics, video, and product pages. Optimize ad creative using A/B testing and analytics.
  • Functional Support and Additional Responsibilities. Aid in maintaining the marketing budget by tracking expenses and ensuring cost efficiency. Support internal communications, recommend data-informed improvements to e-commerce platforms, and collaborate with other company marketers for brand alignment. Work closely with the Associate General Manager and Associate Project Manager to contribute to team knowledge-sharing on data trends.

  • Shopify | E-Commerce Platforms | Google Analytics | Google Marketing Platform | Google Optimize | Campaign Management | Content Marketing | Search Engine | Optimization (SEO)
  • A/B Testing | Data analysis
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Exceptionally passionate toward the achievement of Ascension’s mission.
  • Results-driven mindset. Excellent analytical and data-interpretation skills.
  • Knowledge of the Catholic media and consumer market. Direct experience with Catholic B2C product development and/or marketing is a plus.
  • Superb spoken and written communication. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Emerging leadership capabilities and demonstrated ability to manage timelines and requirements for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Understanding of digital marketing functions, especially in a direct-to-consumers context.
  • The ability to travel to Ascension’s headquarters in Pennsylvania up to three times a year is required.
