Sales

• Lead development and execution of a sales strategy for Ascension’s Pillars of Faith K–8 curriculum and other Parish, Schools, and Small Group products.
• Drive adoption across Catholic schools and parishes with a focus on building relationships with diocesan leaders.
• Expand market presence in Catholic education, strengthen parish and diocesan relationships, and secure long-term partnerships.
• Report to the Associate General Manager of the Schools team and collaborate with Directing Manager, Associate GMs, Marketing Managers, and Parish Relationship Managers.
• Develop and implement tailored sales plans with clear goals, timelines, and KPIs to achieve annual sales goals.
• Identify and prioritize high-potential dioceses and school networks for targeted outreach, pilots, and relationship-building.
• Align campaigns, messaging, and lead generation with Marketing; create and maintain a structured sales pipeline in HubSpot.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing agreements with dioceses, schools, and parishes.
• Build and sustain strategic relationships with diocesan leadership and represent Ascension at conferences and diocesan events.
• Partner internally to set sales priorities, allocate resources, create sales collateral, train staff, and provide market feedback to product teams.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform positioning and sales strategy.

Sales Manager – Schools

Marketing

• Support Marketing Strategy and Data Analysis. Assist in refining the team's marketing strategy by analyzing customer data, market trends, and performance metrics. Use tools like Google Analytics and data visualization software to identify patterns, dependencies, and opportunities within the existing customer journey. Propose data-driven optimizations to drive website traffic, expand customer segments, and contribute to revenue goals.
• Carry out marketing activities. Execute hands-on marketing tactics to support frontlist and backlist sales goals, including drafting, building, optimizing, and scheduling single-send emails, email sequences, and automated flows; building, deploying, and optimizing digital ad campaigns across platforms like Facebook Ads Manager and Google Ads; and collaborating with team members and external developers to create and refine landing pages, product pages, and Amazon pages.
• Conduct Data-Driven Research and Insights. Survey customers and target audiences on product elements such as titles, designs, and topics. Analyze product strengths, weaknesses, and marketability using quantitative methods; support Product Managers in evaluating ideas by providing insights on customer segments, demographics, KPIs, and potential new markets. Reason through complex data sets to estimate addressable market sizes and recommend innovative approaches.
• Assist in Planning, Executing, and Evaluating Promotional Campaigns. Contribute to campaign development by analyzing performance data, suggesting angles based on insights, and drafting compelling copy. Track KPIs in real time, evaluate results for engagement and revenue impact, and propose thoughtful adjustments. Work across teams to collaborate on cross-company initiatives.
• Support Creation of Marketing Assets. Help manage graphic and visual requirements by providing data-backed feedback on photography, graphics, video, and product pages. Optimize ad creative using A/B testing and analytics.
• Functional Support and Additional Responsibilities. Aid in maintaining the marketing budget by tracking expenses and ensuring cost efficiency. Support internal communications, recommend data-informed improvements to e-commerce platforms, and collaborate with other company marketers for brand alignment. Work closely with the Associate General Manager and Associate Project Manager to contribute to team knowledge-sharing on data trends.

Marketing Associate

• Oversees the comprehensive marketing strategies for Schools (in collaboration with the PSSG unit) across Ascension platforms. They develop and execute targeted marketing plans, translating overarching objectives into actionable tactics.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels—including email, social media, Amazon, and Ascension’s website—focused on the Catholic Schools market.
• Write clear, compelling, and brand-aligned copy for digital and print marketing materials.
• Coordinate and attend conferences, with specific metrics and goals to gauge effectiveness. This includes preparing promotional materials, lead capture, and post-event follow-up.
• Coordinate with other team members to provide opportunities for teacher/catechist training, including but not limited to webinars and in-person events.
• Manage campaign timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with unit goals.
• Use HubSpot, Google Analytics, and other reporting tools to track performance, measure ROI, and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to market research initiatives, analyzing customer demographics and buying behavior to identify growth opportunities.
• Provide regular reports on campaign effectiveness, customer engagement, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Partner with product owners, editorial, graphics, and media teams to create cohesive marketing content.
• Work alongside Parish/School Relationship Managers to ensure marketing initiatives support sales objectives and customer engagement goals.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to maintain consistency of brand voice and Catholic identity across campaigns.
• Assist in developing annual marketing plans for the Schools team, including identifying new market segments and channels for growth.
• Coordinate customer engagement efforts aimed at expanding and retaining the customer base, employing a strategic approach to foster long-term relationships and drive growth.
• Support the allocation and tracking of the Schools team’s marketing budget in partnership with the Sales Manager.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement, including workflow integrations with Zapier and marketing automation via HubSpot and Klaviyo.
• Mentor interns or entry-level team members, providing guidance on marketing tools and processes when needed.
• Collaborate with the Sales Manager to ensure alignment with overall marketing and sales goals.
