Own the company’s LATAM tax compliance and reporting, managing external service providers for income, VAT and other tax returns
Review tax provisions in customer agreements and contracts
Provide support for local statutory audits and related inquiries
Manage interactions with local tax and accounting service providers and auditors; respond to inquiries and review outputs
Support month-end close activities: close checklists, balance sheet reconciliations, flux explanations, and prepare journal entries for tax-related accounts
Support Billing Operations on customer tax determinations, respond to customer tax inquiries, and advise account managers on tax-efficient billing
Support Director, Tax & Treasury on optimizing non-US cash and liquidity positions and ad-hoc payroll tax matters
Report to Director, Tax & Treasury and contribute to global expansion strategy focused on tax optimization
Requirements
English and Spanish fluency
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance (or local equivalent)
CPA or CA (or local equivalent)
5+ years of corporate tax experience, in public accounting or industry
B2B SaaS and/or startup experience a plus
Experience with Avalara (or similar) indirect tax compliance software
Experience with Netsuite (or similar) ERP software
