About the role
- Work with Apartment Life supervisor to prepare a monthly schedule and execute the service plan of Apartment Life
- Plan and host monthly activities and events tailored to Senior Adults (55+), including welcoming new residents and acts of care
- Coordinate with local partners to deliver quality programs for the active adult and/or independent living population
- Visit residents upon move-in and throughout their lease term
- Engage online to boost online reputation and report activity each month
- Communicate effectively and regularly with onsite staff and meet virtually biweekly with AL supervisor
- Oversee each activity to ensure they run as planned and report program elements and impact to property
- Steward relationships with non-profits, local church, and businesses and manage resident relationships, funds, and access to clubrooms with integrity
- Ensure Apartment Life's core values guide decision-making and align individual goals with regional objectives
- Live onsite at the community and serve onsite for approximately 15-18 hours per week
Requirements
- Coordinators with children or minor dependents living at home are not eligible to serve due to age restrictions
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be legally eligible to work in the United States (at least one coordinator if serving as a team)
- Basic fluency in English to compose marketing elements and reports (at least one coordinator if serving as a team)
- Possess a current driver’s license and liability insurance, and access to reliable transportation
- Be physically able to use stairs, bend, sit, stand, stoop, carry up to 25 pounds (at least one coordinator if serving as a team)
- Ability to pass a criminal background check in compliance with federal, state, and local law
- Have the availability to commit weekly hours to perform job responsibilities
- Be able to make the minimum term commitment to serving in the apartment community
- Have access to their own computer for email communication, calendar creation, and reporting
- A personal phone will need to be used for communication with supervisors
- 2+ years of experience in outreach and/or ministry helpful but not required
- Experience serving with active Senior Adult or independent living population preferred
- Preferred Bachelor's degree but not required
- Ability to communicate with and coordinate partnerships with local businesses
- Excellent listening and communication skills including verbal and written
- Ability to provide flexible service hours as needed
