About the role

  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation: schedule onboarding sessions and employee orientation with recruiting, program/department, and IT
  • Payroll & timekeeping: prepare and process payroll, support timekeeping systems, enter new hire information, update employee records, and run payroll-related reports
  • Employee support: respond to employee questions and inquiries related to policies, procedures, timekeeping, and other HR matters; assist employees through HR processes
  • HR systems & reporting: maintain and update HRIS records, support system accuracy, generate recurring and ad hoc reports, and support annual reporting requirements
  • Compliance: support compliance efforts ensuring HR practices adhere to local, state, and federal labor regulations
  • Communications & presentations: assist in development of HR announcements and internal communications; prepare PowerPoint slide presentations for meetings and trainings
  • Provide comprehensive HR administrative support across recruiting coordination, onboarding, timesheet support, payroll processing, HRIS data management, and reporting

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree
  • 0-3 work experience in HR or administrative support role
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a government suitability clearance
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to coordinate with other stakeholders as necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred – Unanet and/or Paylocity is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
