About the role
- Supervise and develop a cohort of Coaching Specialists to ensure fidelity to Reading Corps, Math Corps, and Early Learning Corps models
- Set expectations, articulate responsibilities, and manage performance of Coaching Specialists to maximize program implementation and impact
- Actively recruit, retain, and provide performance management to a diverse staff of Coaching Specialists
- Implement standardized onboarding and training plans and facilitate professional development for Coaching Specialists
- Use data to drive Coaching Specialist priorities and ensure attainment of organizational, regional, and site-level implementation and impact goals
- Conduct regular observations of Coaching Specialists; provide consistent feedback, coaching, and performance feedback
- Analyze implementation and impact data, support goal setting, and help coaches meet goals
- Partner with Ampact leadership to implement strategies for program growth, district partnership, and stakeholder engagement
- Develop and maintain understanding of local sector context; engage with key local partners and serve as content expert
- Liaise with Internal Coaches and site partners to support program implementation; participate in continuous improvement and special projects
- Communicate program model changes to Coaching Specialists and stakeholders in a timely manner
- Oversee northern Minnesota sites (Moorhead, Duluth, Grand Rapids and other locations) and travel frequently as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Master’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in educational psychology, school psychology, special education, or education
- 3+ years relevant work experience in early learning, primary or secondary educational settings
- 3+ years of progressive, relevant experience in management, preferably in an educational setting
- Proven ability to supervise, mentor, and lead by example to inspire top performance
- Demonstrated leadership skills including delegation, workload management, and influence
- Strong sense of responsibility for advancing diversity equity and inclusion
- Strong background in reading or math intervention, instruction, assessment, and data-based decision making
- Experience and fluency collecting and analyzing educational data, using data to accelerate student achievement
- Demonstrated commitment to educational equity and cultural competence and equitable results for students
- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Experience facilitating adult learners through training, coaching, supervision, and observation
- Experience creating and delivering training and evaluating its effectiveness
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently and oversee programs across northern Minnesota
