About the role
- Lead and oversee a Department of Homeland Security program, responsible for the health, performance, and success of the task order
- Oversee the execution of the task order, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline
- Lead and manage teams involved in data analytics, data visualization, business transformation, and assigned projects
- Manage multiple workstreams: planning, prioritization, communication, and resource allocation
- Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and stakeholder expectations
- Monitor and report on overall program health and performance
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and status reports
- Identify and manage project risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support; foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment
- Conduct regular team meetings and lead agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Serve as primary point of contact for stakeholders and clients, including DHS ICE officials
- Prepare and present project updates, proposals, and reports to stakeholders
- Implement and continuously refine agile methodologies to improve project efficiency and responsiveness
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Manage and document project changes with impact analysis and stakeholder approval
Requirements
- US Citizenship Required to obtain a Public Trust
- Must be able to travel to Dallas, TX OR Reston, VA a min of 2x per week
- Active DHS Public Trust Preferred
- PMP Certification Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in a government or DHS setting
- Proven experience managing projects involving data analytics, data engineering, and intelligence automation
- Demonstrated experience working in an agile environment (JIRA experience)
- PowerBI and Power Apps experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks
- Experience working with DHS CBP or similar federal agencies
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and technologies
- Understanding of federal contracting and compliance requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines
