About the role

  • Territory Covers: Southern California and Arizona
  • Represent Amgen products and set goals; build business strategy for Specialty Account Managers, Neurology
  • Lead a national team of specialty account managers and collaborate with sales teams to increase referrals to Neurology specialties
  • Analyze market dynamics, set goals, and achieve sales plans within the Neurology space
  • Ensure effective use of resources and manage operational expenses and program funding
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and consistent, high-impact product messaging
  • Train and prepare organization to enhance business/sales potential; conduct weekly field rides with SAMs for coaching
  • Represent organization at local, regional, and national trade shows and provide input to sales meetings
  • Develop internal and external customer relationships and create a productive work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned and maintain safe working practices

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree AND 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Master's degree AND 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Bachelor's degree AND 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
  • 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
  • Sales experience in biologics, infusion, and/or rare/specialty products preferred
  • Buy-and-bill experience preferred
  • Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred
  • Approximately 50% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
