About the role

  • Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, provides onsite, customized fleet maintenance solutions Director of Operations in the Northeast Region to supervise Vector contract managers ensuring contract compliance, pricing integrity, team productivity, training programs, and safety Oversee fleet maintenance and parts management contracts Remote-based position but only considering candidates who reside in the Northeast Region Must solve practical problems and interpret written/oral/diagram/schedule instructions Salary range: $110,000-120,000 annually plus additional bonus incentive Full benefits within 30 days and other listed benefits Establishes/enforces operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and productivity Directs implementation of preventive maintenance and repair policies and practices Builds, develops and manages operations leadership team and provides leadership for problem resolution Oversees operation budget and ensures compliance with state and federal regulations Minimum of five (15) days in the field per month visiting Site Managers and staff Insure VFM Purchasing Guidebook usage and tracking/reporting key metrics

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of class 1-8 vehicles or equipment management MUST have experience with fleet contract management Transportation Industry experience (specifically knowledge of Fleet Maintenance) i.e. Heavy Duty trucking, Over the Road or On Road Delivery Fleet preferred MUST be willing to travel at least 60% Advanced working knowledge of MS Office, with a focus on Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word Ability to articulate complex solutions to prospects from local Managers to C-level officers Discipline: a proven track record as a self-starter and adherence to sales metrics with a very strong work ethic Strong customer orientation, with a high level of comfort making cold calls and quickly developing rapport with prospective clients Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and operational level
