About the role
- **Join Our Team as a Compliance Specialist – Tampa, FL (Remote)******The Compliance Specialist supports the organization’s efforts to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This role assists with developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs across clinical operations, finance, human resources, and data privacy. The Compliance Specialist works closely with hospital leaders, department managers, and external partners to help mitigate risk and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.
Requirements
- **Qualifications – Education, Training, and/or Experience**
- - 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal support, auditing, or risk management required; healthcare or veterinary industry experience preferred.
- - Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulations such as OSHA, HIPAA, DEA, labor laws, and professional licensing boards.
- - Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and investigative skills.
- - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and compliance management tools.
- - Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- - Ability to travel occasionally for training, audits, or compliance inspections.
- **Education: **Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.******Competencies: **The Compliance Specialist must demonstrate a strong sense of ethics, integrity, and accountability. Success in this role requires analytical thinking, effective communication, discretion, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and capable of balancing regulatory requirements with operational realities while supporting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
