General Counsel

• Provide legal counsel and support on all legal matters relating to structuring, documenting, and closing of loans, loan servicing, restructuring, collection, and other related matters.
• Contribute to the overall Association success working on a wide variety of issues and projects related to the Association’s legal and business matters.
• Provide support for entire Go to Market teams in connection with the making and servicing of retail, commercial, corporate, capital markets, and/or agribusiness loans, including, without limitation, participating in deal team meetings and discussions, providing counsel and advice on proper loan structure based upon loan purpose and borrower make-up, loan document content, Borrower Rights issues, regulatory issues and various other legal issues as they arise.
• Serve as an integral part of the deal teams to review and assist with the preparation of complex loan documents when necessary, assist with the modification of loan documents when necessary, review non-routine loan servicing and documentation items, oversee and manage outside counsel through borrower bankruptcies, restructures and collections, provide guidance on loan restructures and workouts, and prepare or assist with loan workout and restructure documentation.
• Research and provide Farm Credit System borrower and collateral eligibility opinions, conduct title analysis and evaluations of title insurance documentation, review and evaluate other customer documentation as necessary, and review and analyze borrower entity structure as needed. Must understand complex corporate structures, private equity sponsored deals, and the sophisticated financing packages and needs of Association customers.
• Must carry out duties independently yet work effectively, cohesively and cooperatively as a team member. Duties must be carried out while balancing conflicting priorities to meet demanding time frames.
• Provide guidance, training and leadership to legal department peers and projects.
• With the support of the Human Resources Department, prepare and provide legal training to Association staff regarding various topics ranging from FCA Regulations and other applicable legal authorities to loan and file documentation best practices as needed.
• Participate and serve on various committees and work groups as assigned.
• Perform additional duties, projects and research as assigned by the General Counsel or Deputy General Counsel.

Senior Associate General Counsel

Underwriter

• The Director of Portfolio Monitoring leads a team responsible for covenant and borrowing base review activities, ensuring compliance with procedures, work instructions, and regulations.
• Actively develops individuals into analytical advisors who can confidently interpret borrowing base and covenant requirements, spot emerging risks, and articulate insights to deal teams.
• Fosters a growth mindset across the team by providing opportunities for training, mentorship, and stretch assignments that expand technical and business acumen.
• Collaborates closely with key leadership and other stakeholders to build scalable processes, deliver timely insights, and communicate portfolio trends to Senior and Executive Leadership, as well as appropriate risk committees.
• Provides direct supervision and oversight to designated staff within Portfolio Monitoring Team.
• Identifies and prepares high-potential talent for advancement, ensuring clear development pathways into roles across credit, underwriting, risk, evaluations, etc.
• Establishes high standards for accuracy, timelines and insight, while recognizing and rewarding behaviors that drive both compliance and strategic value.
• Ensures in-depth and timely analysis of covenants and borrowing bases, balancing precision with forward-looking perspectives.
• Implements monitoring processes and dashboards that proactively surface anomalies, stress points, and borrower risks before they escalate.

Director of Underwriting – Portfolio Monitoring

Account Manager

• Analyze and evaluate credits and develop credit packages in conjunction with Head of Credit Resolution
• Serve as main point of contact for resolving distressed loans and manage designated loan portfolio
• Gather necessary information and third-party reports (appraisals, field reports, verifications, credit reports, lien searches)
• Complete loan analysis including financial statements, cash flows, trend sheets, narratives, and projections
• Make approval recommendations on loan and servicing actions in accordance with Association Underwriting Standards and Borrowers Rights Regulations
• Participate in loan committee meetings and provide backup to loan officers for customer service issues
• Process foreclosures, bankruptcy and other litigation issues; manage acquired properties
• Prepare quarterly Loan Servicing Reports, High Attention Credit Reports and other CRG monitoring reports
• Monitor distressed loan notices, Portfolio Watch actions and follow-up on required actions
• Coordinate legal documentation and work with attorneys and title companies on loan closings
• Provide training, mentorship, onboarding and specialized technical guidance to Association staff and Credit Resolution staff
• Provide leadership across multiple locations, assist branch staff with restructure and liquidation issues, and support special projects

Relationship Manager

• Manage account relationships for a portfolio of complex, large market and atypical commercial and/or real estate loans
• Approve/deny loan applications and service loan portfolio
• Develop and market new business and participate in community relations activities
• Formulate and implement plans for handling loan-related assets, collections and foreclosures when needed
• Conduct marketing calls and meet with customers to identify business opportunities
• Assist and provide leadership to other Relationship Managers and Loan Officers
• Establish profitability and credit quality targets for the portfolio and monitor results
• Recommend approval or approve credit within delegated authority and negotiate complex loans
• Monitor problem loans and recommend appropriate action
• Provide functional guidance on policies, procedures, and other credit matters
• Communicate and promote availability of other financial services
• Perform other assigned functions

Data Engineer

• BASIC FUNCTION: As part of the Data Capability Development Group within Customer Enablement, the Data Engineer is responsible for development and maintenance of the Association’s core data platforms, building data assets and pipelines in a combination of modern cloud-native and hosted data warehouse environments.
• The Developer designs and implements software and systems that provide timely, accurate, and meaningful enterprise data to key consumers and decision makers in the Association so they can effectively analyze business patterns and trends and make informed decisions.
• ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Be involved in all phases of the development life cycle as an individual contributor adhering to Association’s standards and best practices. Understand Agile development concepts and incorporate regular end-user feedback into design and prototypes. Create and maintain clear and concise technical specifications and documentation. Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse(s) in a cloud environment such as Snowflake. Design, implement, and maintain near real-time and batch data pipelines via practical application of existing and new data engineering techniques. Develop continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines for data solutions that include automated unit & integration testing. Using ETL/ELT tools, transform/load data from source systems to target data models that will be used for system integration and analytics use cases. Build and maintain data ingestion and validation pipelines for both structured and unstructured data sources to ingest, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources based on business requirements. Build semantic/abstraction layer views with a data virtualization tool such as Denodo. Work collaboratively with other analysts, engineers, data architects, data scientists, analytics teams, and business product owners in an agile environment. Help define and follow best practices in data engineering, data pipeline patterns, and framework-driven development. Perform other functions as assigned.
• LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED: Exercises no supervision; regularly provides technical guidance and training; makes independent decisions; works under general direction.
• TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BS in Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent technical competency. Minimum 7 years of software development and design with demonstrated proficiency in Data development such as ETL, pipelines, virtualization views, etc. Experience and/or understanding in the design and build of data models. Knowledge of relational and dimensional data design principles and practices. Experience and solid understanding of Extract Transform Load (ETL) tools and Data Warehousing preferably in a cloud-native environment. Understanding of the software lifecycle and software engineering best practices, including specification, documentation, configuration management, testing and quality assurance. Experience and/or knowledge in building data lakes, cloud data platforms leveraging cloud native architecture (Snowflake/Azure), ETL/ELT (Matillion/ADF), Replication (Fivetran/DBT), and data virtualization (Denodo). Familiarity with columnar, NoSQL database technologies and languages such as Python and Java. Experience with version control (i.e., Subversion), issue tracking and build/release management. Experience leveraging continuous integration/development tools (Git/Bitbucket/PyCharm) in a CI/CD pipeline. Good client service, communication skills and able to work in a team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through. Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills including tact and diplomacy. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize individual workload, troubleshoot, and remedy problems under pressing deadlines. Ability to work on several projects simultaneously. High attention to detail. Self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems. Mentor and provide technical assistance to less experienced Data Engineers on the team.

PAY RANGE: Minimum $94,131.10 - Max $160,022.86 Annual This range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
