Project Manager

• Supervises a team of project managers or other project team members responsible to plan, execute, organize, support, audit, report and control major transmission projects.
• Leads a team of Project Managers that are responsible for the successful execution of large capital projects to include scope, cost and schedule.
• Works with other cross functional organization leaders in the development of a portfolio level strategy to ensure the successful and efficient execution of all capital projects in the portfolio.
• Identifies and deploys process improvement initiatives across the organization to reduce project costs and improve overall portfolio execution.
• Assesses and controls project, program and portfolio risks.
• Monitors and enforces standards, policies, and procedures established by Transmission and Ameren Corporation and regulatory entities.
• Supervises, trains and guides team members to manage projects, audit projects, review and approve purchase orders and contracts, analyze scope change and design change requests, analyze progress and productivity and routine cost reporting, maintain cost monitoring function on site of major projects, participate in the development of the Transmission project and portfolio budget, ensure accurate forecasts, financial analysis and reporting, assist in the development of project justifications and statistical analysis, complete service agreements and other business requirements, lead and participate in financial process improvements and projects.

Engineer

• Supervise, schedule, train and evaluate Relay Database Specialists/Engineers engaged in supporting the various Substation and Relay databases.
• Develops various reporting tools and provides applicable data analysis to support the information needs of reliability programs and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance processes and procedures.
• Establishes and maintains database performance.
• Investigates and resolves intricate, difficult and complex database issues.
• Analyzes, resolves, and tests complex defects or improvements in the database.
• Provide documentation for any Compliance inquiries or audits.
• Influences teams and stakeholders to achieve objectives; communicates how database administration work drives value for the business.
• Review periodically the integrity of the databases.
• Support field personnel on all database software revisions.
• Provide future year forecasts of Devices due (NERC and non-NERC).
• Provide reports and/or data for Relay Maintenance, AIC Reliability, and various other entities, such as ICC inquiries/audits and other legal requests.
• Monitors and enforces guides, procedures, and policies established by the Relay Database group, the AIC Compliance group, Ameren Corporation, and regulatory entities (FERC, NERC, SERC, ICC, etc).
• Coordinate with outside entities such as Ameren Missouri and Ameren ATX Substation and Relay Maintenance, and vendors in order to arrange a consistent process for compliance database management.
• Track and report on monthly maintenance/construction progress.
• Support Substation and Relay computer software and associated software keys.
• Ensure all construction testing/commissioning documentation is complete.
• Provide regular updates to Primavera, PAUM, and Atlas.
• Coaches direct reports, other co-workers and provides feedback to enhance skills and knowledge.

Supervising Engineer – System Relay Services

Backend Engineer

• Manage substation and relay testing databases (e.g. Maximo, PowerDB, Powerbase, etc.). This includes setup and modifications to the databases
• Maintain and Support Asset Health software (APM) including submitting and tracking changes and corrections
• Create and run reports on the databases to ensure testing data is being stored correctly and compliance data is present
• Work with other compliance engineers, Maximo, and PowerBase groups to ensure all compliance testing dates are met
• Assist with external and internal inquiries/audits including ICC, SERC and Liberty requests
• Create and maintain Substation and Relay Database documentation
• Assist in driving a culture of compliance for all AIC stakeholders involved in reliability compliance activities
• Provide oversight for the AIC Substation group concerning SERC/NERC/FERC/ICC regulations as required
• Assist AIC Substation and Relay Departments with managing documentation, compliance activities, and risks for other local, state, and federal regulations as needed
• Use automated tools to generate, monitor, and report progress on compliance activities, implementation plans, and mitigation plans for SERC, NERC, and FERC Standards and Regulations

• Assign work strategically to maximize crew productivity, considering constraints like job location, crew expertise, and logistics.
• Lead coordination with Operations Planners and Supervisors to integrate key inputs like crew size, equipment, materials, and job duration into scheduling decisions.
• Continuously monitor pre-requisites and job status, and adapt schedules to avoid delays when needed.
• Proactively lead data-driven reviews of key scheduling metrics to drive conversations about productivity improvement opportunities.
• Document updates in planning tools and help ensure communication with stakeholders, proactively flagging changes as needed.

• Act as a single point of contact between Ameren and Key Customers AND high profile customers
• Provide education on rates and other tariff conditions, especially following rate order/tariff changes as appropriate
• Manage large Ameren construction and maintenance projects involving Key Customers (electric and natural gas) including preliminary engineering requests, review cost estimates, real estate costs, engineering specifications, construction of facilities, metering, gas and electrical load information, account setup, etc.
• Prepare, execute and coordinate implementation of all agreements and documents
• Coordinate Key Customer electric and gas metering installation design and construction
• Assist CAD with adjustments/estimation of data on Key Account related to stopped meters, billing errors, etc.
