About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide department leadership to employees, focusing on company goals, measures, department goals, and monthly performance scorecards
  • Review gas and electric designs for quality and accuracy and resolve issues with design personnel and field employees
  • Verify materials, standards, backlog management, work orders, and required IDOT, railroad, county, and foreign utility permits
  • Ensure standards, qualifications, billing policies, DOJM billing entries, and Illinois System Extension or Modification Policy compliance
  • Initiate System Extension Guarantee Agreement contracts for customers
  • Review and approve electronic mapping quality and connectivity data supporting outage systems
  • Provide technical support to GIS mapping personnel
  • Support storm assessment efforts, organize and dispatch field checkers, update outage orders in OAS, and communicate with the storm center
  • Support GIS system users, coordinate GIS training, and support GIS application development and testing

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university required
  • GIS, CAD, or Engineering Technology disciplines preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, GIS, Construction Management, Project Management, or related technical field preferred
  • Five or more years of relevant experience required, including engineering, design, construction, electric or gas distribution lines, GIS, CAD, or distributed generation interconnections
  • Supervisory or project leadership experience preferred
  • Seven years of required relevant experience may be considered in lieu of an associate degree
  • Ability to analyze data
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications suite
  • Proficiency with OAS and DOJM systems
  • Knowledge of Ameren Gas and Electric standards
  • Understanding of Ameren Illinois Utilities' Standards and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Ameren competencies: Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic
