About the role
- Identify and prospect small-to-medium clients through outbound efforts, referrals, and inbound leads
- Conduct discovery calls and needs assessments to understand clients' logistics challenges
- Develop tailored proposals and deliver compelling sales presentations
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements in collaboration with leadership
- Onboard new clients and work with internal teams to ensure a seamless handoff to the ADR team
- Develop SOPs with the Account Development team
- Maintain CRM records and forecast sales performance
- Achieve/exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Sell logistics solutions (e.g., LTL/partial, FTL, last-mile delivery, white glove/expedite, warehousing, drayage, or technology-enabled logistics solutions)
- Work closely with operations and account development departments to ensure client satisfaction
- Target a customer base with predominantly spot freight opportunities
Requirements
- 2–5 years of sales experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
- 2+ years of proven success in a sales/account management role
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales quotas
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience selling to small and medium-sized businesses is a plus
- Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Self-starter with a passion for helping businesses solve operational challenges
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
