About the role
- Assist in planning, coordinating and delivering a packed calendar of external and internal events, including trade shows, networking events, launches, partner roundtables, webinars, and awards
- Deliver pre and post-event communications with partners and stakeholders, working with Commercial team
- Own venue and supplier research, booking, liaison and pre-event logistics
- Work with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure timely delivery of event assets including stand materials, branded giveaways, printed collateral, and digital content
- Participate in and support live events – helping with set-up, greeting, breakdown and on-the-day coordination
- Deliver event marketing plans, social media coverage and post-event follow-up
- Own the inbound marketing request channel and ensure tickets are prioritised and completed on time
- Support the wider marketing team across digital, content, campaigns and product marketing collateral
- Create and update sales enablement tools such as brochures, data sheets, presentations, and case studies
- Govern marketing asset libraries and ensure brand consistency across all materials
- Perform content uploads, basic edits and updates to the website
- Assist with social media content creation (video and graphic production, copywriting)
- Help track marketing activity and events ROI using basic reporting and analytics
- Monitor industry trends and competitors to support messaging and positioning
Requirements
- Proven experience in a marketing or events environment (whether through work, study, or internships)
- Proven organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Preferably some exposure to marketing and design tools (e.g. email platforms, CMS, adobe creative suite – even if only basic)
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, events, communication or a related field
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn on the job
- Desirable: UK driving licence for business travel
- Desirable: Experience working with a CRM (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot)
- Desirable: Experience working with a CMS (e.g. Joomla, WordPress, Drupal)
- Desirable: Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro)
- Desirable: Experience in the fibre, telecoms, or similar technical industries
- Desirable: Content creation skills such as photography or video production
