About the role

  • Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, including accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
  • Handle treasury management including OTC sales with third-parties.
  • Project and model cash flows of the DAO and Foundation.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making by senior leadership.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, investors, and internal management.
  • Oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Liaise and support other teams, e.g. Legal.
  • Assist in our capital raising activities.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
  • Continuously evaluate the financial reporting process in order to improve effectiveness and efficiencies, identifying and implementing harmonization and standardization with internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in a similar finance role.
  • Decent accounting working knowledge, CPA/ACCA is a plus.
  • Very strong knowledge of crypto/blockchain technologies.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • Google Sheets super-user with a technical track record of clear and reproducible documentation in all areas.
  • A powerful interest in integrating vanguard tools into your work such as AI co-pilots for financial models and financial control.
  • Integrity, humility, intellectual curiosity, honesty, and forthright communication.
  • Ability to work autonomously and be responsible for achieving the desired results while also contributing to the success of projects shared by the wider team.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Knowledge of Cayman and BVI corporate structures (nice-to-have).
  • Good understanding and experience with typical fund terms (nice-to-have).
  • Strong network to be able to support capital raise activities or interface with OTC companies (nice-to-have).
