Data Analyst

• Creating impactful data visualizations and interactive data dashboards

• Processing, cleaning, validating, and analyzing a wide range of traditional, structured data from organization partners and collaborators in the nonprofit ecosystem in order to generate actionable insights for the sector

Project Manager

• Coordinate a wide variety of projects at GivingTuesday from start to finish across Project Management, Knowledge Management, Partnerships, and Data Science teams.
• Track priorities, deliverables, and timelines for multiple projects; develop and own project plans and timelines and lead execution.
• Report to and communicate with clients and partners regularly using appropriate methods, channels, and tools.
• Interact with and manage vendors according to project plans.
• Create effective deliverables and communication materials (training documents, project updates, charts, visuals).
• Participate in and support the Senior Manager and staff on other projects as needed.
• Take on administrative responsibilities including scheduling client meetings and stakeholder interviews.
• Conduct user needs interviews, distill user or technical requirements, resolve technical data/workflow issues, design solutions, and provide implementation support.

• Support development of strategies for increasing working group participation, collaboration, and impact across data commons communities
• Collaborate across GivingTuesday teams and with partners to plan virtual and in-person convenings that advance research priorities
• Facilitate and manage online community engagement, including moderation, onboarding, resource sharing, listserv oversight, newsletters, and virtual meetings
• Support implementation of research projects by organizing stakeholders, collecting requirements, distilling research questions, and building collaborative frameworks and timelines
• Identify and cultivate new potential partners across technology platforms, financial services, nonprofits, academic institutions, and advocacy organizations
• Manage relationships with current partners to ensure progress on collaborative projects and maintain engagement across multiple initiatives
• Establish and support new community-defined working groups aligned with sector needs and research priorities
• Seek opportunities to scale successful projects and identify pathways for broader sector adoption of insights and tools

• Deliver and write analyses with actionable insights and communicate these findings to cross functional stakeholders of varying technical levels.
• Manage key datasets and improve their usability by creating database dictionaries and user documentation.
• Improve existing data processing pipelines, automate recurrent operations on core datasets.
• Create impactful data visualisations and interactive data dashboards for stakeholders.

Data Scientist, GivingTuesday

Full-stack Engineer

• Maintain and enhance the MongoDB backend and React frontend of our core platforms, implementing new features like data cross-referencing and vectorization.
• Support the full lifecycle of our React-based products, including designing interfaces, managing authentication, and addressing ongoing bugs and feature requests.
• Assist with the maintenance, ad-hoc bug fixes, and eventual deprecation of legacy platforms.
• Develop and maintain a React-based embedded dashboard, creating new features for sophisticated data filtering and visualization.
• Build bespoke data visualization microsites using HTML, SQL, and Python, often integrating with databases and platforms like Mode.
• Contribute to advanced projects, including the development of interfaces for natural language AI knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of developers, data scientists, and product managers to deliver high-quality, impactful technology solutions.

Full-Stack Developer

• Data Scientist Our global data science team works on a diverse set of problems and projects related to learning, insights, and impact measurement in the nonprofit sector. We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our growing team, where they will work with data engineers, analysts, and other team members to develop compelling and useful knowledge products for GivingTuesday stakeholders, including academics, data partners, the social/nonprofit sector, and the general public.
