About the role

  • Perfect your leadership and relationship skills
  • Support projects across the Ahern Fire Protection and National groups
  • Partner with stakeholders at all levels in the regions, including customers
  • Provide outstanding safety support; including jobsite inspections, leading training and assurance efforts
  • Develop and maintain work policies, standards, and procedures
  • Ensure regulatory compliance
  • Identify areas for improvement and contribute to Ahern’s continuous improvement journey
  • Travel to different regional job sites with a company vehicle regularly, with occasional overnight travel

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Occupational Safety program or related field
  • Three-plus years of work experience in the construction safety field is also preferred
  • Ideal candidates will possess one or more of the following: CSP/ASP/GSP, CHST, STS-C, or be an OSHA Outreach Instructor
  • Ability to thrive in a proactive, fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to execute tasks with a great amount of detail
