About the role
- Develops, administers, and monitors medical underwriting rules and guidelines for group life and disability products
- Builds, enhances, and maintains effective relationships with clients to ensure client satisfaction
- Conducts stewardship, site visits and regularly scheduled meetings with clients
- Develops and maintains plans to support retention sales and product growth within existing clients
- Develops, maintains, and executes more complex client relationship plans to ensure the clients' overall service needs are satisfied, and achieve the business and profitability/retention objectives of the organization
- Identifies and resolves complex client issues in a timely and collaborative manner
- Identifies clients with retention risk, and develops plans to retain clients, and notifies management
- Provides feedback to internal partners and serves as a resource to internal stakeholders; consults on complex relationship management/sales solutions to optimize satisfaction and retention to achieve business results
- Partners with internal business units to ensure overall organization growth and success
- Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field
- 4 or more years experience in relationship management, account management or related work experience
- Experience with servicing customers in a professional environment
- Licenses dependent upon product being support with specified time frame (upon hire)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Proficiency in CRM and account management tools (preferred)
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
- Ability to prioritize task and manage time effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills and a customer first mind-set
- Basic understanding of billing and invoicing processes
- Ability to work well in a team environment and handle confidential information
