About the role

  • Develops, administers, and monitors medical underwriting rules and guidelines for group life and disability products
  • Builds, enhances, and maintains effective relationships with clients to ensure client satisfaction
  • Conducts stewardship, site visits and regularly scheduled meetings with clients
  • Develops and maintains plans to support retention sales and product growth within existing clients
  • Develops, maintains, and executes more complex client relationship plans to ensure the clients' overall service needs are satisfied, and achieve the business and profitability/retention objectives of the organization
  • Identifies and resolves complex client issues in a timely and collaborative manner
  • Identifies clients with retention risk, and develops plans to retain clients, and notifies management
  • Provides feedback to internal partners and serves as a resource to internal stakeholders; consults on complex relationship management/sales solutions to optimize satisfaction and retention to achieve business results
  • Partners with internal business units to ensure overall organization growth and success
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or related field
  • 4 or more years experience in relationship management, account management or related work experience
  • Experience with servicing customers in a professional environment
  • Licenses dependent upon product being support with specified time frame (upon hire)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in CRM and account management tools (preferred)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting
  • Ability to prioritize task and manage time effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer first mind-set
  • Basic understanding of billing and invoicing processes
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and handle confidential information
