Senior Software Engineer – Furnishing Platform

• Drive the definition and delivery of quarterly and long-term goals, ensuring team’s work aligns with objectives

Staff Software Engineer, Backend – Growth Platform

• Responsible for setting technical strategy for your team on a year-long time scale, owning backend platforms that power incentives and growth initiatives across Affirm.
• Collaborate with product management, analytics, and partner teams to shape technical direction for incentive systems, ensuring long-term sustainability, correctness, and clear trade-offs that inform roadmap decisions.
• Act as a force-multiplier by defining platform abstractions, APIs, and architectural patterns that enable product teams to safely launch, experiment with, and evolve incentive-based experiences.
• Take ownership of your team’s operations and availability by ensuring robust monitoring, alerting, playbooks, and on-call practices are in place for business-critical incentive and growth systems.
• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by setting clear design and code review standards, advocating for them beyond your immediate team through written proposals and technical discussions.
• Help develop talent on your team by providing actionable feedback, technical guidance, and leadership on complex, high-impact systems.

Security Engineer

• Lead, develop, and mentor the Platform Security team, setting direction, managing performance, and ensuring strong communication and execution across distributed time zones.
• Design, implement, and operate cloud security controls for AWS, GCP, and Azure to protect infrastructure, services, and applications from evolving threats.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership to influence architecture decisions, define security requirements, and ensure alignment with Affirm’s technical strategy.
• Strengthen container security by guiding secure design and operation of containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and related ecosystem tooling.
• Drive adoption of DevSecOps practices by embedding automated security checks, workflows, and guardrails into CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling.
• Communicate complex security risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity, precision, and authority.
• Develop and mature the platform security roadmap, identifying long-term risks, investments, and capabilities needed to strengthen Affirm’s cloud posture.
• Define, maintain, and enforce baseline security configurations, standards, and operational processes for cloud platforms, systems, and applications.

Product Manager

• Drive the execution, growth, and scale of Affirm in the United Kingdom for the credit underwriting and corresponding purchase experience interfaces
• Drive credit and purchase UX strategy and success metrics and see through to execution impact that meaningfully moves the needle for Affirm’s business and customers
• Understand Affirm UK users and merchants at a deep level -- what’s important to them, what drives their decision making, why they love Affirm, and what they wish we could do better
• Drive our product expansion to new markets in the credit and purchase experience domain, bringing the best of Affirm's existing approach paired with local market needs
• Partner closely with engineering teams across the organization to drive product development and prioritization
• Collaborate with stakeholders (such as Revenue, Legal, Compliance, Credit, Fraud, etc) to shape your product roadmap and incorporate legal, governance & regulatory oversight into your products
• Identify and create the experiences that make it seamless for merchants to deliver an incredible buy now, pay later experience to consumers
