About the role
- Perform environmental due diligence projects focused on commercial real estate
- Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Agency-focused Freddie Mac/Fannie Mae ESA projects
- Perform environmental reviews and state and federal regulatory program file reviews
- Conduct field investigations
- Apply basic understanding of commercial real estate lending and finance to due diligence
- Provide superior customer service, technical writing, and timely project management
- Coordinate with clients and senior staff; manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines
- Travel as necessary for fieldwork and client needs
Requirements
- 3+ years of previous experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I ESAs (preferred)
- Previous experience performing Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae ESA projects focused on Agency lenders and Agency investor platforms (preferred)
- Excellent writing, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Self-starter and resourceful; ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related field
- Active AHERA certification (preferred)
- Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification (preferred)
