About the role
- Develop and sustain solid partner connections with internal customer teams while consistently aiming to understand their needs and relate to their challenges
- Continue driving a department-wide transformation from traditional IT to functioning as a cloud service provider, with a focus on commercializing compute and storage offerings
- Correctly estimate and handle a multi-million-dollar annual budget covering all components of Adobe’s corporate and private cloud compute and storage infrastructure as a service
- Publish technical roadmaps in collaboration with subordinate leaders and architects
- Establish, communicate, and manage clear department goals and priorities (objectives and key results)
- Develop, maintain, and motivate a high performing, globally diverse team through effective recruiting, mentoring, training, and empowerment
- Regularly assess technical and procedural frameworks to confirm they align with internal customer expectations, industry advancements, and operational efficiency & sustainability
- Promote a strong culture of operational excellence
- Keep up to date with developments and protocols in compute and storage, along with the competitive vendor environment
- Promptly recognize risks / blockers and work assertively to engage with the right partner teams
- Work closely with program management resources to regularly and proactively communicate needs & requirements, manage delivery expectations, and maintain collaborator alignment
- Provide regular product roadmaps and service quality reporting that clearly articulates value delivery amongst partners, internal customers, and senior leadership
- Continue fostering a customer-first culture that encourages collaboration and open knowledge transfer
Requirements
- MBA or related business degree strongly preferred
- 10-15 years of experience directing large, diverse global cloud infrastructure teams (or a closely related field)
- At least 5 years of experience supervising other managers
- Strong background in infrastructure engineering fundamentals, technologies, and established guidelines
- Experience with Agile development: Scrum or other iterative methodologies
- Confidence to tackle the unknown, challenge assertions, mediate disputes, hold collaborators accountable, and manage leadership / customer expectations proactively
- Ability to deftly shift focus as objectives and priorities change
- Strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and manage multiple complex activities
- Proficient at breaking down complex problems into manageable, delegable components
- Proven ability to manage geographically distributed, multinational teams
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with ServiceNow (or similar ITSM suite) and strong familiarity with ITIL concepts
- Experience with JIRA (or similar project management tools)
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Prior experience working as an infrastructure engineer, SRE, developer, or architect is a plus.
