About the role
- On-site service visits in accordance with Acuity Brands' policies and procedures
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, program, and repair lighting and control systems
- Provide technical support to both internal teams and external customers
- Act as a subject matter expert during customer engagements and technical escalations
- Prepare detailed field reports following service calls
- Conduct on-site training sessions for customers on system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for product and process improvements
- Service coverage will primarily include the state of Georgia and adjacent regions, with additional support in Mexico and Canada as required
- Typical service engagements can range from one to five days in duration
- Frequent travel required, up to 85%, including overnight stays
- Based near our Conyers, GA office

Requirements
- Having a degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a field service role with electrical and mechanical responsibilities
- Strong aptitude in electrical systems, control technologies, and schematic interpretation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and passport required
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency is a plus for international support
