About the role

  • Lead and manage the C&I Electronics Sales team (Sales Directors & Managers) to achieve growth targets across Acuity’s electronics portfolio (nLight, SensorSwitch, Pathway, eldoLED, IOTA, embedded technologies)
  • Set annual sales goals, monitor performance, and hold the team accountable to execution and results
  • Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives with channel leadership, agents, and vertical market leaders
  • Provide senior-level technical guidance to enhance the team’s ability to position solutions and win complex opportunities
  • Identify market development opportunities within high-potential verticals and align team activities
  • Consolidate and elevate market insights to inform product development and commercial strategy
  • Oversee training and enablement programs for internal sales teams and agency partners, including CEU presentations and technical training
  • Mentor and coach Sales Managers on solution selling, territory management, and relationship development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Experience to align go-to-market messaging and launch plans
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting accuracy, budgeting, resource allocation, and define/monitor key performance metrics using analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5-7 years of sales leadership experience in lighting controls, components, or electronics, with a proven record of managing high-performing teams
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic sales plans across multi-channel distribution networks
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate product capabilities into customer value propositions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of an organization
  • Experience engaging across the full construction and sales channel—including designers, engineers, contractors, and distributors
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally 51-75% of the time
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and managing operational expense budgets
