Graphics Designer

• As part of the Marketing and Communications team, interns will learn how the visual brand and design can support a nonprofit’s mission and can have a big impact
• Work on developing Active Minds visual design templates, development of new store products, graphics support for the blog and website, design projects for Programs and Development teams

• Conceive, set, and own the strategic vision and measurable goals for the Chapter Network
• Oversee the Chapter Network’s program design framework
• Cultivate strategic relationships with high schools, higher education institutions, community organizations, and funders
• Directly manage a team of three direct reports and an overall Chapters Team of eight staff
• Collaborate with the Measurement Team to evaluate program outcomes
• Manage the Chapter Network program budget with full accountability for planning, stewardship, and reporting

• As a crucial part of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Strategy Intern will support the team in developing data-driven, strategic marketing plans leveraging audience data and insights.
• In this role, you will analyze key marketing metrics and trends to uncover insights that directly shape impactful brand campaigns.
• Working collaboratively with the broader team, you will help build marketing plans, craft strategic messages, assist with project management, and drive effective initiatives designed to increase awareness and boost attendance for Active Minds programming.
• Learn how nonprofits analyze audience insights to develop data-driven marketing plans and targeted messaging.
• Bring innovative ideas to life by supporting message creation and campaign execution.
• Work alongside passionate Active Minds staff members to execute projects and deepen your understanding of mental health advocacy.

Marketing Strategy Intern, Fall 2026

Social Media Manager

• Create, edit, and publish short- and long-form video content for social media and digital channels.
• Assist with content planning, development, and execution across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Facebook.
• Support video production efforts, including filming, editing, captioning, and optimizing content for various audiences and platforms.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to identify and develop stories that highlight Active Minds programs, events, and impact.
• Assist with graphic design and content creation using Canva and other creative tools.
• Monitor social media trends, emerging platforms, and content best practices to inform content development.
• Support community engagement efforts by helping manage comments, messages, and audience interactions.
• Assist with content organization, asset management, and other marketing and communications projects as needed

Community Manager

• Collaborate with Community Programs and Workforce Development teams to engage communities and initiate conversations around mental health
• Support developing and implementing programs for young and emerging professionals in mental health-related professions
• Event coordination, moderating virtual events, communication with speakers and clients, administrative tasks, email and marketing campaigns, research projects
• Provide support in researching traditional and nontraditional career paths in mental health and assist with initiatives to support young professionals in the workplace
