• Attend, participate in and/or chaperone school activities such as faculty meetings (before or after school hours), open houses, commencement exercises, student activities
• Attend professional developments as assigned

Virtual Special Education Teacher

• Works closely with the school grade level teams and other wrap around supports to support positive student behaviors
• Conducts Functional Assessments that incorporate multiple data/information sources, including formal/informal observation of behaviors that interfere with learning
• Develops Behavior Support Plans that are built upon the concepts of positive behavioral supports and utilizes ethical, proactive, person centered approaches in order to impact a change in behavior
• Develops methods of tracking effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and makes changes to the plan as necessary
• Provides the necessary training and modeling to enable staff to effectively implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies in order to reduce or eliminate undesirable behaviors and increase expected behaviors
• Promotes student prosocial skill development through group instruction and individualized supports
• Provides timely and accurate documentation, in compliance with policies, procedures and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned

Virtual School Social Worker

• Conduct virtual psychoeducational evaluations for students K through 12 according to federal, state, and school guidelines
• Familiarity with evaluation tools
• Complete Initial Evaluation and Re-evaluations
• Complete Assessment Plans, Review of Records and FBAs
• Provide virtual administration of cognitive and achievement assessments following best practice tele-assessment standards
• Conduct other portions of the evaluation, including interviews and virtual observations, adaptive behavior, social/emotional behavior, and executive functioning assessments
• Integrate assessment results into a comprehensive evaluation report and submit paperwork as needed
• Present evaluation findings at meetings and collaborate with school teams regarding eligibility determination
• Excellent knowledge of principles and evidence-based practices
• Participating in training and meetings as needed
• Attend Evaluation meetings to discuss results of assessments
• Serve as a member on the MTSS/RTI Team

Virtual School Psychologist

• Relentlessly work to meet all goals related to student achievement and school culture as well as School Report Card/Accountability goals
• Facilitate the implementation of a standards-based curriculum
• Complete ongoing review of weekly lesson plans
• Implement frequent walk-throughs/teacher debriefs
• Assume responsibility for student outcomes as related to academics and social-emotional wellbeing
• Serve as the instructional leader in the building by facilitating a growth-focused professional environment
• Develop and/or modify the school’s cultural programming and school-wide PBIS process with an emphasis on personal and academic growth
• Lead Data Driven Instructional efforts, teaching and supporting staff in using data to monitor program effectiveness and adjust instructional programming
• Plan all phases of summer educational opportunities and before and after/supplemental programs as applicable
• Ensure effective implementation of instructional program across grade bands
• Monitor teacher performance metrics (pass rates, teaching time, student contacts, etc...) and ensure teacher accountability for meeting set expectations
• Work with the operations team to coordinate audits, and ensure compliance to state and sponsor/authorizer regulations
• Work with the IT team to coordinate school technology efforts and make recommendations for improvement
• Work with the Student Services to ensure support staff understand instructional model and teachers understand and appropriately utilize available student supports
• Assist with updating parent and student manuals, policies, and handbooks
• Effectively communicate the school’s mission and vision and solicit input from parents and families about school performance, areas for improvement, and their needs
• Engage and build strong professional relationships with parents, characterized by timely and regular communications, involving parents, wherever possible in the life of the school
• Contribute to a positive climate and culture by exhibiting high professional standards
• Understand, accept, abide by, and implement the school’s philosophy and mission statement in all school activities

• Deliver highly effective live lessons via web conference based on student need, rooted in research-based instructional practices
• Complete course set up for each course within the Learning Management System
• Monitor student progress in asynchronous courses and provide feedback/grade assignments daily
• Track and maintain contact with each student
• Collaborate with Principal to create and deliver Progress Reports of Students
• Review student level data frequently to inform instructional program adjustments
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students
• Utilize research-based best practices in both synchronous and asynchronous instruction
• Create a joyful, caring, and loving classroom environment for all students
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching practices into daily lessons and interactions with students, parents, and colleagues
• Implement school-wide culture expectations and norms, inside the classroom and beyond
• Communicate regularly with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child

Middle School Science Teacher

• Be able to work autonomously and maintain a high level of professionalism, organization, and confidentiality
• Review all incoming Special Education documents for compliance with West Virginia Department of Education, Policy 2419, and IDEA and confidentiality make decisions on whether or not documents are deemed compliant or noncompliant in order for 10-day IEP meetings
• Maintain communication with School Psychologist, Special Education Coordinator, and IEP Case Managers if incoming documents are found to be noncompliant or expired and communicate next steps
• Inform IEP Case Manager when all necessary documents are received and inform of next steps
• Communicate with Special Education Coordinator if students are to receive Related Services according to documents
• Attend relevant trainings offered by county agencies and the department of education to stay current on regulations and best practices
• Develop and facilitate professional development and training on transition topics
• Review Special Education documents, including transition IEPs, for compliance and quality and provide feedback and coaching to Special Education Teachers prior to IEP meetings
• Act as a district representative during transition IEP meetings
• Collaborate with the Special Education Coordinator on state reporting pertaining to transition
• Coordinate educational planning with parents/guardians, students, counselors, CTE coordinator, etc. to understand educational opportunities, post high school available to the student and educate families and school personnel on these options;
• Collaborate with agencies such as WVDHHR, post-secondary schools, DRS, etc.
• Assist with post-secondary test registration, FASFA, and college applications;
• Provide follow-up services, track progress and collect student data for one year post discharge

Virtual Transition Coordinator, Intake Specialist

• Serve as the Student Success leader across all three schools, ensuring consistency and fidelity of implementation
• Directly supervise and manage Success Coaches including hiring input, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
• Supervise and develop Success Coaches, including coaching, feedback, and performance management
• Design, implement, and monitor Student Success programming aligned to onboarding and engagement frameworks
• Lead and manage re-enrollment efforts across all three schools
• Partner with school leadership and Operations to execute re-enrollment campaigns
• Act as a mentor and role model for staff, building a culture of accountability and student-centered support
• Step in to support or backfill coaching responsibilities as needed
• Lead the design and execution of a comprehensive onboarding experience for all new students and families
• Ensure consistent implementation of welcome calls
• Oversee and support the facilitation of live Orientation sessions
• Develop and implement Parent University sessions
• Establish clear onboarding milestones and ensure accountability across teams
• Design and maintain tracking systems to monitor new student engagement
• Analyze onboarding data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Enrollment, Operations, and Academic teams to ensure a seamless transition from enrollment to academic engagement

• Participate in the Admissions Counseling process for applicants and students
• Serve as the primary point of contact for school administration in developing plans to address barriers to full achievement of attendance, academic, and behavioral goals
• Provide research-based strategies to give students and parents the necessary skills and knowledge to help them communicate effectively with teachers and administrators in order to ensure student goals are met
• Facilitate individual and group training/support and provide academic resources to help students increase academic achievement
• Collaborate with students regularly to check in on progress in classes, keeping students accountable for achieving their academics, attendance, engagement, and behavioral goals
• Work in partnership with teachers and parents on evaluation of student progress and implementation of student objectives
• Conduct conferences with parents and students, both in person and over the phone as needed
