About the role
- Lead high-impact projects from concept to execution, ensuring design excellence across brand and service experiences.
- Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team of brand, service, and content designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Evolve our brand system to be more expressive, flexible, and scalable, while keeping it cohesive across all channels.
- Collaborate with designers, cross-functional partners, and vendors to provide design direction and ensure brand alignment and cohesion.
- Build smart systems, including guidelines, libraries, and workflows to enable scalable, high-quality brand execution.
- Partner with marketing, product, and customer service to create experiences that align with our strategy and connect with people.
- Continuously raise the bar for execution, sweat the details, and innovate brand expression as marketing and customer service evolve.
- Role is remote with regular travel to Alameda, CA for team collaboration, workshops, and leadership alignment.
- Travel expectation: approximately 25% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a brand design leadership role.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong visual thinking, bold creative ideas brought to life across formats and channels, and business impact (preferred).
- Experience leading designers and developing creative talent (preferred).
- Fluency in tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (preferred).
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence across levels and disciplines (preferred).
- Taste and a sharp creative point of view (preferred).
- Experience with software design for brand, service, and product experience (preferred).
- Ability to synthesize insights from patients, providers, and internal teams to inform design decisions (preferred).
- Business acumen and strategic thinking to align design with organizational goals and market dynamics (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience shaping ways of working with in-house cross functional teams, fostering strong collaboration and alignment (preferred).
- Experience in the healthcare and health technology space is a strong plus (preferred).
- Willingness to travel (Travel: Yes, 25% of the Time).
