About the role
- Drive account growth within a portfolio of existing health insurance clients by deeply understanding client needs and Abacus’s product portfolio
- Lead the end-to-end sales process from discovery to close, including client communications, on-site presentations, RFI/RFP responses, multi-day workshops, negotiations, and deal signing
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, customer success, delivery, and finance to deliver proposals and ensure high customer retention
- Own a seven-figure quota across Abacus Insights’ most strategic payer customers
- Operate as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders and ensure products drive business value
- Report to the Associate Vice President, Business Development
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in sales, specifically in account growth
- 5-7 years of experience working either for or directly with the Medicaid segment payers
- An understanding of cloud-based products such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks and Snowflake
- Experience working both inside a payer and for technology companies that serve payers (bonus)
- Experience working as a consultant inside the healthcare vertical (bonus)
