QA Engineer

• Partner with clients and implementation teams to understand data distribution needs and expected outputs.

Data Quality Engineer Intern – Post Grad

Data Analyst

• Participate in consulting engagements with our clients. These engagements generally revolve around improving the operational performance as it relates to their current software platforms and identifying areas where Abacus Insights may be able to develop complementary solutions
• Use your hands-on experience and knowledge in either healthcare claims, provider management, benefits, eligibility, and/or contract management to analyze business requests and develop business requirements and systemic solutions
• Participate in on-site planning and requirements gathering and clarification sessions with customers
• Develop designs for modifications to existing Abacus Insights Platform components or for creating new components that work in concert with the existing Abacus Insights Platform
• Participate in the evaluation of new technologies and platforms as needed, including mobile, tablet and cloud services
• Analyze business requests and develop business requirements, design details, and systemic solutions
• Conduct process analysis, process evaluation and implement process improvements
• Analyze data/reports to validate quality of information, identify trends, highlight patterns, define inconsistencies and summarize/present findings and results
• Communicate and translate concepts to both business and technical personnel
• Assist as needed with QA and application support for clients and our product support group
• Any additional duties as determined by joint agreement between yourself and appropriate Abacus Insights management resources.

Business and Data Analyst – Healthcare

Engineer

• Act as a senior technical escalation point during production incidents
• Lead real-time incident triage, mitigation, and recovery efforts
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) with a focus on systemic, long-term fixes
• Identify recurring failure patterns and push for architectural or operational improvements
• Partner with Customer Success and Engineering to manage customer impact during incidents
• Own post-launch reliability, stability, and operational quality of core systems
• Investigate and resolve complex field issues and production defects
• Ensure fixes developed during incidents or customer escalations are up streamed into the core product
• Improve operational readiness of services through better runbooks, monitoring, and alerting
• Reduce operational toil by converting repeated manual work into automation
• Engage directly with strategic customers to solve real-world, production-grade technical challenges
• Support complex deployments, integrations, and escalations in customer environments
• Act as a trusted technical partner to customers during high-impact issues
• Translate customer learnings into concrete product, platform, and operational improvements

Data Engineer

• Monitor production data pipelines and systems, identifying failures, latency issues, schema changes, and data quality anomalies.
• Debug pipeline failures by analyzing logs, metrics, SQL outputs, and upstream/downstream dependencies.
• Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for data incidents and contribute to implementing corrective and preventive solutions.
• Support the maintenance and optimization of ETL/ELT workflows to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Automate recurring data operations tasks using Python, shell scripting, or similar tools to reduce manual intervention.
• Assist with data mapping, transformation, and normalization efforts, including alignment with Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
• Collaborate on the generation and validation of synthetic test datasets for pipeline testing and data quality validation.
• Shadow senior engineers to deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot data workflows on AWS, Databricks, and Kubernetes-based environments.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple environments (development, staging, production).
• Clearly document bugs, data issues, and operational incidents in Jira and Confluence, including reproduction steps, impact analysis, and resolution details.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional, onsite, and offshore teams to escalate issues, provide status updates, and track resolutions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and follow structured incident and change management processes
