About the role

  • Leads the identification, analysis and documentation of requirements for network transport technologies and services
  • Leads and organizes the creation and documentation of network designs
  • Researches, develops, documents and deploys emerging technologies and techniques
  • Prepares, deploys and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages
  • Leads the maintenance of network systems and resolves advanced maintenance problems
  • Develops and implements cost control action plans based upon review of internal and sourced infrastructure
  • Leads and coordinates high level implementation planning for strategic multi-technology insertion projects
  • Identifies and pursues market opportunities for IT products and leads customer engagements
  • Develops business case and product plans; oversees creation of business and functional requirements and product roadmaps
  • Works with other IT professionals to ensure requirements are met and obtains funding/approvals
  • Supports product demonstrations, value propositions and represents/promotes IT products internally
  • Analyzes, integrates and refines strategic requirements to provide input into the network design process
  • Coordinates multiple engineering projects to ensure successful implementation and reduce total cost of ownership

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working in data centers, network designs and/or architecture
  • 5+ years of experience working cross functionally
  • 3+ years of experience with systems architecture
  • 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal lead role
  • 3+ years of experience with IT product strategy
  • Experience working with cloud products (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience (preferred)
  • Current cloud certifications (e.g., Azure, GCP, AWS, etc.) (preferred)
  • Current network certifications (CCNA, CCNP or other Cisco) (preferred)
  • Experience working to obtain approvals for funding (preferred)
  • Experience working on a global team (preferred)
  • Experience working with network design (preferred)
  • Must meet export control compliance requirements; must be a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
