About the role
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for manual and automated testing.
- Triage and investigate customer-reported issues to determine root causes and impact.
- Collaborate closely with the support team to understand and clarify customer issue reports.
- Document and track defects, collaborating with developers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Reproduce complex bugs that require specific VM configurations and environment setups.
- Utilize automation tools to streamline testing tasks and improve efficiency.
- Foster effective communication with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.
- Maintain and update test documentation to reflect changes and new learnings from bug investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (equivalent practical experience may be considered).
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance.
- Proficiency in test planning, execution, and maintenance of clear and effective test documentation.
- Interest in learning about test automation; some exposure or small experience with automation is a plus.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and virtual environments.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience working with continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines and integrating automated tests.
- Good knowledge of databases and SQL for backend testing and data validation.
- Experience using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and reporting bugs accurately.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Good English communication skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
