Payroll Officer

• End-to-end processing of fortnightly payroll

Senior Payroll Officer

• The Supervisor, Payroll implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Process bi-weekly payroll, including inputting data.
• Answer employee questions regarding their benefit accruals.
• Prepare general entries.
• Monitor and verify tax deposits and returns.
• Audit payroll records.
• Calculate hours worked from timesheets, production records, or individual timecards.
• Input data to the payroll system, including employee name, days worked, overtime earnings if any, date, gross pay, deductions, required withholdings, and net earnings.
• Ensure compliance with country-specific payroll legislation, tax requirements, labor laws, and reporting obligations.
• Monitor payroll controls and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of paychecks.

Payroll Supervisor

• Oversee monthly and semi-monthly payrolls for 1,000 APAC employees by collecting, calculating, and reviewing data in the HRIS system
• Ensure successful completion of each payroll cycle
• Pay all employee-related compensation accurately and timely
• Maintain effective internal controls and business continuity plans for all payroll procedures
• Respond to and maintain good relationships with employees, vendors, and colleagues
• Communicate on payroll–related interdependencies with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, HR)
• Keep payroll records organized and compliant with retention policies
• Determine payroll policies and procedures, including identification of improvements in systems and processes used to enhance the employee experience and efficiencies in payroll administration
• Identify payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Process and reconcile year-end reporting and adjustments (e.g., allowances, stock compensation, year-end bonuses, fringe benefits, W-2s)
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations necessary to ensure payroll activity is properly recorded in the consolidated financial statements
• Train and mentor Payroll Assistants on payroll issues, reporting, taxes, etc.

Senior Payroll Assistant

• Administration and setup of new employees, termination, and redundancy calculations and payments
• Import of employee master data from SuccessFactors into PayGlobal
• Manual data entry into PayGlobal for supporting materials and information to generate pays
• Run and support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate payments
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams, including Finance, as well as external partners, auditors, and industry contacts.

Payroll Coordinator

• Accurately and timely process end-to-end weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls in Australia and New Zealand in accordance with applicable Employee Agreements, Modern Awards and local regulations
• Preparation of all ad-hoc/manual payments outside of standard pay runs including but not limited to terminations, commissions, bonuses, parental leave and workers compensation
• Accurately and timely process termination payments in accordance with company policies and local regulations
• Accurately and timely process month end and year end processes including but not limited to journals, payroll tax processing, lodgement and reconciliation, reporting and third-party payments
• Provide Workers Comp PIAWE information as required, ensure reconciliation is regularly performed and compile information to assist with the annual Workers Compensation renewals for the relevant state
• Efficient management of payroll analytical reporting requirements to stakeholders across the business by compiling complex analytical reports relating to headcount, leave history and liability, payroll cost, compensation data and other relevant reports as required
• Collaborate with the P&O team and other key stakeholders to determine HRIS and payroll system needs, and to identify system improvements and enhancements
• Manage the payroll inbox and provide excellent customer service to employees at all levels by professionally and timely responding to payroll queries
• Uphold a professional attitude and approach to handling sensitive and confidential information

Lead Payroll Specialist

• Deliver expert guidance and support throughout the implementation process
• Customize SAP Payroll solutions in accordance with customer requirements following Strada standards
• Effective management of priorities to meet established deadlines
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Track project progress, documentation, and collaborate with project managers and project team
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of HR business processes and the SAP HR architecture

• Serve as the go-to payroll expert for your assigned country, with deep knowledge of local legislation, tax laws, and compliance standards.
• Monitor and assess upcoming regulatory changes by working closely with the Compliance Alerts team, industry associations (e.g., Global Payroll Association), and government updates.
• Partner with the Product Development team to inform and influence the product roadmap and ensure the country-specific functionality is up to date.
• Maintain and update country workbooks with new legislative requirements and compliance changes.
• Analyze existing payroll procedures and recommend improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and minimize manual processes.
• Drive the evolution of Strada Pay by enhancing product functionality, cost-effectiveness, and user experience tailored to local market needs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within your country for Strada Pay methodology, delivery approach, templates, and standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise and strategic input to Strada Pay project teams during client deployments, ensuring smooth transitions into operational use.
• Act as a gatekeeper for client customization requests—balancing innovation with standardization and compliance.
• Support pre-sales activities by showcasing Strada Pay capabilities to prospective clients, sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Collaborate with peers across the Country Champion network to share knowledge and drive alignment globally.

Payroll Country Owner – AU & NZ

• Act as the Payroll SME, providing guidance on complex payroll interpretations (Awards, EAs, super, tax, leave, etc.)
• Coach and mentor the Senior Payroll Officer and uplift team capability
• Review high-risk payroll transactions (terminations, redundancies, backpays, remediation)
• Partner with Finance and People & Culture to resolve complex payroll queries
• Strengthen payroll governance, controls, and audit readiness
• Drive process and system improvements, including automation opportunities
• Support payroll operations during peak periods and escalations
