• Serve as the go-to payroll expert for your assigned country, with deep knowledge of local legislation, tax laws, and compliance standards.
• Monitor and assess upcoming regulatory changes by working closely with the Compliance Alerts team, industry associations (e.g., Global Payroll Association), and government updates.
• Partner with the Product Development team to inform and influence the product roadmap and ensure the country-specific functionality is up to date.
• Maintain and update country workbooks with new legislative requirements and compliance changes.
• Analyze existing payroll procedures and recommend improvements to eliminate inefficiencies and minimize manual processes.
• Drive the evolution of Strada Pay by enhancing product functionality, cost-effectiveness, and user experience tailored to local market needs.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives within your country for Strada Pay methodology, delivery approach, templates, and standards.
• Provide subject matter expertise and strategic input to Strada Pay project teams during client deployments, ensuring smooth transitions into operational use.
• Act as a gatekeeper for client customization requests—balancing innovation with standardization and compliance.
• Support pre-sales activities by showcasing Strada Pay capabilities to prospective clients, sharing insights, lessons learned, and best practices.
• Collaborate with peers across the Country Champion network to share knowledge and drive alignment globally.

Payroll Country Owner – AU & NZ

• Act as the Payroll SME, providing guidance on complex payroll interpretations (Awards, EAs, super, tax, leave, etc.)
• Coach and mentor the Senior Payroll Officer and uplift team capability
• Review high-risk payroll transactions (terminations, redundancies, backpays, remediation)
• Partner with Finance and People & Culture to resolve complex payroll queries
• Strengthen payroll governance, controls, and audit readiness
• Drive process and system improvements, including automation opportunities
• Support payroll operations during peak periods and escalations

Payroll Lead

• Process global payroll for all employees in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare month end duties as required across the jurisdictions.
• Verify all data entered into the payroll system for accuracy and completeness.
• Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits.
• Assist in the preparation of payroll reports and analysis as needed.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with PCP to ensure accurate processing of employee benefits and deductions.
• Assist with payroll-related audits and provide necessary documentation as requested.

Payroll Officer

• Assisting with End-to-end payroll process in Australia, constituting approx. 1000 Permanent employees and 100 casual employees
• Provide adequate backup to allow for absences of Payroll Manager, both planned and unforeseen
• Assistance with Payroll related general ledger activities and assisting with End of Month Reports, Annualised Salaries and Reconciliation processes
• Salary Packaging & Leave Reconciliations
• Assisting with Payroll Tax, Superannuation Lodgements
• Assisting with Process Improvement Projects
• Award Interpretation experience and understanding of annualised salaries process
• Prompt resolution and responses to employee and stakeholder queries

Senior Payroll Officer

• Manage a portfolio of payroll clients, delivering accurate and timely payroll processing, tax and statistical compliance, online banking, and consulting services for both international and local companies.
• Perform accurate monthly payroll calculations for all employee types (office, rotation, and shift), including vacation, sick leave, and terminations.
• Prepare and release pay slips.
• Ensure tax and statistical compliance, including reporting and maintaining registers.
• Prepare and process payment orders (SWIFT, online banking).
• Monitor tax, labor legislation; prepare news alerts and deliver webinars on payroll topics.
• Handle billing to clients and ensure compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements.

• Serve as the primary point of contact with tax authorities, addressing inquiries and compliance issues.

Global Payroll Services Associate

• Preparation and processing of complex high-volume payrolls
• Administration of Payroll and Time & Attendance systems
• Payroll reporting and filing to meet internal and statutory obligations
• Liaise with staff and management on payroll related queries

Payroll Specialist

• Conduct onboarding, employee changes, leave administration, and offboarding across APAC, ensuring a smooth and consistent employee experience.
• Serve as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR, payroll, and benefits queries—resolving items quickly and escalating thoughtfully when needed.
• Maintain accurate employee records in Workday (or relevant HRIS), supporting smooth HR, payroll, and benefits processing across the region.
• Coordinate payroll inputs across APAC to enable accurate, on-time payroll processing.
• Ensure employee data changes (new hires, terminations, salary changes, promotions, allowances, and statutory updates) are captured correctly and within required timelines.
• Partner with Payroll and Compensation & Benefits teams to troubleshoot payroll issues and support timely resolution.
• Own day-to-day benefits administration across APAC, ensuring country-specific offerings are applied accurately.
• Respond to benefits questions and guide employees on eligibility, coverage, enrolments, changes, and entitlements, providing feedback to global on any suggestions to improve.
• Maintain accurate country-specific benefits summaries and keep benefits data aligned across HR systems and payroll.
• Maintain compliance with local employment, payroll, and benefits requirements across APAC countries, including supporting audit and internal reviews with accurate records.
• Monitor country-specific changes impacting payroll and benefits, and implement updates with key stakeholders.
• Document HR, payroll, and benefits processes and maintain clear, user-friendly workflows.
• Identify opportunities and take a lead role to improve efficiency, consistency, and risk management across APAC HR operations, and help implement practical solutions.
