About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
  • Managing payroll queries with a friendly and helpful approach
  • Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
  • Processing payroll changes including new starters, terminations, and salary updates
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities
  • Working closely with HR and Finance teams to keep everything running smoothly
  • Helping identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Approximately 3 years' experience in a payroll position
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
  • A positive customer service ethic, team-focused attitude and great communication skills
  • Confidence using Excel and Payroll related technologies
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, and payroll compliance requirements
  • Experience using iChris or Chris21 (desirable)
  • Experience working in a large or complex organisation with white and blue collar employees
  • Exposure to payroll reporting and reconciliations
