About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Processing end-to-end payroll accurately and on time
- Managing payroll queries with a friendly and helpful approach
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data integrity
- Processing payroll changes including new starters, terminations, and salary updates
- Assisting with payroll reconciliations, reporting, and compliance activities
- Working closely with HR and Finance teams to keep everything running smoothly
- Helping identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency
Requirements
What you’ll need- Approximately 3 years' experience in a payroll position
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- A positive customer service ethic, team-focused attitude and great communication skills
- Confidence using Excel and Payroll related technologies
- Good understanding of payroll legislation, awards, superannuation, and payroll compliance requirements
- Experience using iChris or Chris21 (desirable)
- Experience working in a large or complex organisation with white and blue collar employees
- Exposure to payroll reporting and reconciliations
