Field Engineer

• Learn to complete on-time and accurate Preventative Maintenance, FMIs and/or ISIs.
• Assist more experienced field engineers with equipment installation.
• Work with experienced field engineers on basic troubleshooting and service repair needs on designated equipment.
• Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
• Learn to effectively communicate with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
• Partner with the customer and recommend value-added services that will help the customer run their business more efficiently.
• Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as maintaining customer service logs and internal service records in a timely manner, ordering repair parts, and managing cycle times.

Field Service Engineer 1

• Perform Preventive & Corrective Maintenance – Schedule, execute, and document preventive maintenance and field change orders (FCOs) on digital scanners and related hardware. – Diagnose root causes, perform repairs and/or part replacements, and validate system performance per SOPs and regulatory standards.
• Installations & Configurations – Lead complete site setups: unpack, assemble, and calibrate instruments; configure networking, middleware, and integration with laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting – Respond promptly to service calls on-site to minimize equipment downtime and maintain uptime SLAs. – Use diagnostic tools and data-gathering techniques to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues. – Operate with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations. – Escalate complex or recurring issues through established channels & procedures for swift resolution.
• Documentation & Compliance – Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and calibration records in our CRM and tracking systems. – Required to carry and monitor the company cell phone and respond during work and on-call hours, excluding rest/meal periods per applicable state law – Manage company resources—tools, parts, and inventory—efficiently. – Adhere to documentation regulatory requirements and established industry quality standards.
• Customer Collaboration – Build strong partnerships with laboratory staff, pathologists, and clinical engineers through clear communication.

Digital Pathology Field Service Engineer

• Deliver high-impact field service by resolving complex technical issues, exceeding customer expectations, and driving service growth.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving customer needs.
• Understand the customer's business and competitive environment; generate service revenue.
• Actively participate as a member of the regional work team; improve team processes and identify training gaps.
• Perform all administrative duties within established regulatory requirements.
• Complete PMs, FCOs, installation and all related tasks (diagnose and resolve electronic, network, and mechanical problems).

Field Service Engineer – Imaging Systems

• Directly supervise five (5) remote Field Technicians across the Washington D.C. Airspace
• Provide both general and technical training and guidance to team members
• Ensure team members are following and implementing proper program and company policies, procedures, and protocol
• Allocate team resources effectively and efficiently to support program operational needs
• Proactively obtain customer feedback and provide support and guidance to the team
• Install, repair, configure, test and complete preventative maintenance of personal computers, network equipment, and/or telecommunications equipment
• Work outside regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs and respond to after-hours emergency calls
• Travel (up to 100% at a time) to remote sites or outside assigned regions

Senior Supervisor, Field Engineer

• Installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory to assure continuity of customer operations and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• May be requested to work outside of assigned area as determined by projects, to cover for colleagues, and at times of demand peaks.
• Ownership of customer problems or incidents until the situation has been resolved to the customers satisfaction and or in compliance with agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Diagnose, repair, and replace components on any equipment supported by NCR Voyix including but not limited to Point of Sale, Self-service checkout, servers and other back office equipment, hand held terminals and associated peripherals.
• Installation of new, or to upgrade existing equipment, in line with the Statement of Work (SOW).
• Assisting in site preparation, including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and testing of equipment; may also perform required modular swaps and unit replacements.
• Field Service Technician responds to all customer concerns or problems by resolving them or by escalating them to the proper associate, team member, territory manager, or the Control Tower.
• Build working relationships with customers and develop informal communication channels with customer account at the local level.
• Responsible for all NCR Voyix assets that will be used in the delivery of customer services (i.e. tools, software, vehicles, documentation, and intellectual property), or as assigned by management.
• Maintain an appropriate parts inventory as well as parts record keeping.
• Accurate and prompt reporting of calls and activity, as well as other reporting as required; Tracking and reporting all expenses incurred in the delivery of services, including telephone, private automobile, and/or public transportation.
• Capturing detailed customer asset information and other data required to complete any invoicing or billing activities.
• May be dispatched daily on a call-by-call basis or may establish his/her own daily schedule on the basis of automated reports to meet SLA.
• Participate in the Shift Pattern for the operating area – this may include weekend and evening working as determined by the Customer Coverage and SLA requirements.
• Work to achieve the Key Performance Indicators established on a routine basis in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, superior quality outcomes, awareness and maintenance of cost and safe operations as highest priority.
