Accounting Manager

• Co-lead close optimization and efficiency initiatives, identify manual processes, build roadmaps, and drive improvements that reduce manual effort and strengthen scalability across the accounting organization
• Own close communications, facilitation, and tracking, maintaining the operational rhythm of the close cycle
• Overhaul and maintain the artifacts, templates, and frameworks used to coordinate close activity across the accounting org
• Lead recurring cross-team accounting programs, such as close management and consolidation, driving standardization and coordination across teams
• Provide oversight of the intercompany program; partner with Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Compliance to confirm that shared services and transfer pricing agreements are operating as intended, and flag issues that need to be addressed
• Represent accounting in Zillow Group–wide strategic projects such as M&A integrations, new entity formation, and reorganizations, and project-manage the execution of related activities across the accounting organization
• Develop and enhance operational policies and internal control frameworks to ensure SOX compliance
• Deliver financial analysis and develop metrics that provide insight into close processes, supporting efforts to drive optimization, standardization, and scalability
• Own the accounting for a focused set of close areas, including expense accruals, ensuring that related journal entries and reconciliations are accurate and well supported
• Act as a reviewer of intercompany activity across a defined subset of entities operating under shared service and transfer pricing agreements, ensuring settlements are recorded accurately and in accordance with those agreements
• Author or review monthly fluctuation analyses and month-end close documentation for owned areas.

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations
• Monitor performance metrics and service level agreements

• Identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives

• Own the end-to-end accounts payable (AP) function, including invoice processing, vendor payment runs, subledger-to-GL reconciliations, aging review, and month-end accruals.
• Oversee and develop the AP team — including the Team Lead and AP Specialists — through goal-setting, performance reviews, coaching, and day-to-day support.
• Prepare month-end reconciliations and variance analysis, investigating and explaining significant fluctuations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage and enforce AP internal controls, with a focus on fraud prevention around vendor banking changes, duplicate payments, and high-risk transactions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and modernize AP workflows, whether through process redesign, automation, training or AI-powered and agentic tools to reduce manual effort, increase accuracy, and scale the function as the business grows.
• Oversee the P-Card and T&E programs, including policy compliance, platform configuration, card issuance, and vendor coordination.
• Approve invoices in accordance with the Spend and Transaction policy, confirming proper GL coding, PO matching.
• Coordinate and execute vendor payment runs, including intercompany payments, and partner with Treasury on funding requests to ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
• Support vendor management, including new vendor setups, banking updates, payment term optimization, and escalated dispute resolution.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to accounts payable documentation and controls.
• Support shared services initiatives and partner with the Director, Accounting on cross-functional priorities and department-wide projects.
• Take on additional projects and responsibilities as the business evolves and Accounting team needs shift.

• Supports the processing of biweekly payroll by reviewing employee timesheets for accuracy and assisting with payroll recordkeeping, including updates for new hires, terminations, and employment changes in coordination with Human Resources
• Assist other Finance staff with payroll data entry into various software's
• Assist with the training of new hires on payroll processes
• Processes accounts payable by reviewing and verifying vendor invoices, coding and entering invoices into the financial system, and ensuring timely and accurate payments
• Supports accounts payable functions by maintaining vendor accounts, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies, monitoring aging reports, and maintaining records in accordance with retention policies
• Manages accounts receivable activities, including preparing and issuing customer and grant-related invoices and recording and applying incoming payments (checks, ACH, and wire transfers)
• Monitors outstanding receivables, follows up on overdue balances, and assists with resolving billing questions or discrepancies with program staff and funders
• Reconciles accounts receivable activity to the general ledger and maintains accurate billing records and documentation for audit purposes
• Assists in generating accounts receivable reports for management review
• Other duties as assigned.

Accounting Clerk

• Prepare and review business and individual tax returns.
• Support tax compliance for partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and other pass-through entities.

• Assist in the preparation of financial accounting projects
• Complete monthly financial statement close process
• Perform data collection and analysis for senior care and living projects
• Prepare Medicaid and Medicare cost reports for various provider types

Senior Accounting Consultant

• Process financial transactions (A/P, A/R, and Payroll) in an accurate and timely manner
• Prepare and process client invoices, wire transfers, and expense reports
• Research and solve client problems, providing clear explanations of reports and collaborating on solutions
• Maintain client data and ensure all monthly tasks are tracked (e.g., using Canopy)
• Proactively communicate with clients, answering questions and providing timely follow-up on requests
• Meet with client operations teams and internal client relationship teams to ensure commitments are met
• Assist with client onboarding and provide backup coverage for teammates
