About the role
- Design, develop, evaluate and deploy machine learning models and generative AI solutions
- Adapt, extend and productionize models developed for local use cases in Canada
- Work closely with data engineering to design and optimize ML-ready datasets and feature pipelines on Databricks
- Proactively identify and propose high-value ML and GenAI use cases relevant to Zurich Canada
- Own the full lifecycle of initiatives: from discovery and experimentation through to production deployment
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning or AI product development
- Proven experience deploying ML models to production
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing and ML workloads
- Solid understanding of feature engineering, model evaluation and ML lifecycle management
- Ability to operate effectively in a platform-oriented, engineering-driven environment
- Excellent communication skills and experience managing stakeholder partnerships
- Self-starter mentality, comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-paced and AI-first environment
