About the role

  • Design, develop, evaluate and deploy machine learning models and generative AI solutions
  • Adapt, extend and productionize models developed for local use cases in Canada
  • Work closely with data engineering to design and optimize ML-ready datasets and feature pipelines on Databricks
  • Proactively identify and propose high-value ML and GenAI use cases relevant to Zurich Canada
  • Own the full lifecycle of initiatives: from discovery and experimentation through to production deployment

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in data science, applied machine learning or AI product development
  • Proven experience deploying ML models to production
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks for data processing and ML workloads
  • Solid understanding of feature engineering, model evaluation and ML lifecycle management
  • Ability to operate effectively in a platform-oriented, engineering-driven environment
  • Excellent communication skills and experience managing stakeholder partnerships
  • Self-starter mentality, comfortable working in a hybrid, fast-paced and AI-first environment
