• Develop and execute the shipyard’s outsourcing strategy to ensure capacity and capability requirements are aligned with production schedules and long-term program objectives.

Subcontracts Manager

Change Management

• Ensure transitions for Seaspan IT Project changes are smooth by managing impacts.
• Collaborate with Project Team Members to develop and implement organizational change management plans.
• Assess change impact with stakeholders and develop comprehensive change adoption plans.
• Guide stakeholders through change, ensuring proper adoption of new policies and processes.
• Increase departmental collaboration with business units to align project goals with operational priorities.

Change Management Specialist – LTE

• Develops and oversees internal communications strategies to ensure the communication of corporate programs is consistently delivered and understood.
• Produce content for internal events including presentations, speeches and speaking notes.
• Reviews communications across the organization to develop, maintain and communicate standards for communications, focusing on clarity, simplicity, style, consistency as well as brand identity and delivery.
• Identify new communications strategies, tools and channels to support overall internal communications objectives.

Financial Planning and Analysis

• Serve as the Functional Analyst for the BTS Financial Systems Team
• Maintain detailed functional specifications for EPM including data loads, workflows, reports, security groups, and enhancements
• Assist in delivering month-end / year-end closing in EPM
• Security role administration in accordance with corporate policy within the EPM SUITE
• Review related Oracle updates/patches involving EPM and assigned ERP module and execute testing

Financial System Analyst

Director

• Represents Seaspan Shipyards in all contractual and commercial negotiations with the Government of Canada (Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC)) for all Coast Guard Programs contract-related matters.
• Acts as the single point of contact on contractual and commercial issues, including development, negotiation, interpretation, administration, and reporting.
• Coordinate efforts to maximize contract potential through claims & changes opportunities.
• Develop and implement plans to protect and grow Target Cost and other contractual incentives.
• Drive contractual negotiations towards a more commercial approach for future contracts.
• Responsible for the effective contractual management, procedures, and reporting, on behalf of Seaspan Shipyards, of all Coast Guard Programs contracts between Seaspan Shipyards and the Government of Canada.

Project Manager

Payroll

• Reviews and processes payroll and all payroll-related forms for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensures timecard data is accurately entered into the payroll system.
• Processes layoffs and follows payroll procedures for terminated employees.
• Contacts operations supervisors for any missed timecards or discrepancies with timecards.
• Reviews and processes all special payments as required and in accordance with current CRA rules.
• Compiles and accurately processes payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, union dues, benefits, insurance and other deductions.
• Ensures all deductions are made as scheduled and in accordance with relevant collective agreements.
