Designer

• Provide comprehensive discipline leadership and supervise the Mechanical and Piping part of the ship’s design.
• Allocate design/drafting work and ensure team members work within competencies with appropriate supervision.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other designers or subcontractors in Mechanical and Piping engineering/design.
• Prepare and review design and functional packages to ensure functional design requirements are met.
• Produce integrated 3D models based on engineering documentation, class society rules and regulations, flag rules, company and international standards.
• Develop design solutions and prepare detail design production documentation within project schedule and budget.
• Develop and review design drawings for icebreaking, naval replenishment and different support or multi-purpose vessels to achieve customer approval and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, review and approve material specifications and bills of material.
• Ensure appropriate design methods and checks are used.
• Support design standards development and improvement process.
• Identify improvements in processes, tools and training to increase efficiency and quality.
• Provide technical support to production and perform trade studies to determine cost-effective solutions and meet material budgets.
• Support Planning, Supply Chain and Production to ensure systems are complete and functional on schedule.
• Support project management with estimation of design scope, risk mitigation and enabling products to support installation and build schedule.
• Progress and cost monitoring and reporting to project management and Department or Discipline Manager.
• Develop and enforce design disciplines-specific standards and ensure quality of design products.
• Maintain communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, and other collaborators; act as key point of contact for Detail Design Mechanical discipline.

Principal Specialist, Mechanical Detail Design

Analyst

• Support setup and management of the business toolset Co-Console across projects JSS, OOSV and Polar
• Support setup of project Completions data structure within Co-Console and development of base functionality for Polar project server
• Implement new capability and functionality requests from end users and manage emergent issues
• Assist Ship Completions Planning Manager with documenting business processes and ensuring capture in business QMS
• Work closely with vendor (Prometheus) to raise and manage support, bug fix, or feature request tickets and ensure timely closure
• Support Quality and Acceptance team in gathering OQE data and preparing handover documentation
• Develop training material for End Users and Power Users and deliver training
• Manage system access, security and permissions and liaise with BTS team
• Support data cleanup activities with Engineering and Data Analytics teams following established procedures

Planner I – Co-Console System Analyst

Data Analyst

• Reporting to the Manager, Quality, the Quality Data Analyst II is responsible for transforming Quality raw data into actionable insights that contribute to strategic decision-making.
• Designs, develops, and maintains interactive and strategically informative Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to the unique requirements of the shipbuilding industry.
• Creates data models and data structures within Power BI to ensure efficient data organization and retrieval; implement data transformations, calculations, and aggregations to support analysis and reporting needs.
• Integrates data from various sources into Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Generates regular reports and ad-hoc analyses using Power BI; customizes reports based on users’ requirements to provide insights to support decision-making processes.
• Analyzes complex data sets related to Quality processes and their interaction with processes from other disciplines; designs performance metrics reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Provides insights into the Quality measures of processes.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Communicates findings and insights to both technical and non-technical interested parties.
• Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and automation.
• Ensures the integrity, security, and quality of data through effective data governance practices; establishes and enforces data standards and best practices within the Quality and shipbuilding data environment.
• Other duties as required by the Quality group and the business.
