About the role
- Autonomously negotiate a high volume of complex real estate, workplace services, benefits vendor agreements, SaaS and other commercial transactions in a fast-paced environment.
- Use your knowledge of data security, data privacy, AI and general commercial concerns to counsel the business on risks related to their transactions and offer best practices for addressing such risks in supplier agreements.
- Offer practical legal advice with a “business first” risk based approach that ensures our clients have a seamless, efficient and positive experience with the Commercial Legal Team.
- Manage outside counsel and contract attorneys.
- Partner closely with internal business partners, attorneys and contracts managers to develop processes and systems to scale globally.
Requirements
- JD with 4+ years of experience negotiating complex real estate and commercial transactions (preferably with at least 1 year in-house).
- Experience negotiating workplace, outsourced services and engineering service agreements and comfort handling SaaS agreements, data privacy, data security and general commercial related concerns.
- Strong communication skills, particularly in the ability to clarify legal jargon and contract structure.
- A collaborative, team player who likes relationship building across the organization.
- A problem solver who can anticipate needs and offer solutions in collaboration with business partners.
