Design, develop, integrate and verify reliable power, analogue and mixed-signal airborne electronics for avionics, mission computing and embedded systems
Take ownership from schematic capture to PCB layout, component selection, and manufacturing handoff following aerospace-standard processes
Produce and maintain documentation for traceability, compliance, configuration control and reviews; address findings and perform follow-up activities
Conduct hands-on testing: build harnesses and test rigs; use oscilloscopes, DMMs, VNAs and spectrum analysers to commission and verify designs
Collaborate with Systems, Mechanical, Software teams and stakeholders to support HW circuit card integration
Support compliance with DO-254 objectives for simple and complex electronic hardware, including verification and validation activities
Conduct risk assessments and contribute to continuous improvement of ZeroAvia's standards
Support qualification and environmental testing requirements (EMC, etc.) and prepare hardware for certification
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
5+ Years Hardware Development Experience
Proficient in Altium Designer or Mentor Siemens EDA
Proficient in modelling electronic circuits using SPICE-based simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, Simetrix)
Experience with schematic capture through PCB layout and component selection
Hands-on testing skills: Oscilloscope, DMM, VNAs, spectrum analysers; build harnesses and test rigs
Knowledge of SPI, I2C, RS485, Ethernet and CAN physical implementation and signal integrity practices
Strong understanding of electrical safety (creepage and clearance, insulation requirements)
Strong understanding of low-level analogue circuit design and digital signal processing
Experience designing and implementing data acquisition systems
Proven experience working with microcontrollers and digital signal processing
Strong understanding of qualification and environmental requirements for electronics (EMC testing)
Familiarity with DO-254 design plan objectives and activities for electronic hardware
Experience working in a Design Organisation Approval (DOA) (desired)
Design experience against IEC 60664, DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 (desired)
Familiarity with low and high voltage systems (up to 1.5KV) (desired)
Experience in designing airborne electronics hardware (desired)
Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
Maintain documentation for traceability, compliance, and configuration control
