About the role

  • Provide technical expertise, support, and guidance to customers; troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and qualify potential customers and participate in the sales process from discovery to closing.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and deliver compelling presentations showcasing product features, benefits, and value propositions.
  • Understand customer requirements and develop tailored solution designs, technical proposals, and product specifications.
  • Provide technical guidance during pre-sales, address questions/objections, and conduct proof-of-concept activities.
  • Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to provide product feedback and stay updated on product releases.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitive landscape; attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company.

Requirements

  • Japanese speaker – a must.
  • Japan-based or Japan-surrounding countries - a must.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience (Network/Security/Pre Sales Engineering) - must.
  • Proven experience as Customer Engineer or in a pre-sales / technical sales role, in the information security industry.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as needed.
