  • As the Engineering Director, you are the business leader for your area and you must be customer centric and focused on delivering customer successes to their satisfaction. You must take ownership and full responsibility for ‘hitting your Zenergi budget and P&L numbers’ by the effective planning, forecasting, operational delivery and leadership of three key teams – Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Design, Climate Change Engineers (CCE) and Energy Services.
  • You must be competent with all M&E design stages (RIBA 1-7), M&E condition surveys, have a knowledge of sitework activities, EV Infrastructure, Solar PV and relevant consultancy projects. You must also be technical enough to understand Climate Change Agreements & Legislation (CCA & CCL), Public Sector Decarbonisation Schemes (PSDS), Low Carbon Skills Fund (LCSF), Heat Decarbonisation Plans (HDP), Energy Audits, and Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS).
  • You will take a lead role in shaping the service offering for our clients. You'll be customer facing and collaborate with clients on their technical and mechanical engineering needs, provide technical knowledge and understanding of key components and support them with all technical work and reports. You will play a pivotal role in leading product development and strategic planning for the division and ensure we are at the forefront of latest industry changes and emerging technologies within the evolving energy market.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in energy reduction
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail in design situations
  • Exceptional technical knowledge and the ability to communicate that knowledge to clients
  • Good working knowledge of industry regulations design and installations
  • Professionally qualified with a technical/engineering degree
  • Ideally professionally registered with CIBSE and/or IET
  • Ideally a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership status
  • Good working knowledge of design standards and good working practices within the built environment
  • Delivery of construction/ service engineering/ site projects
  • Experience in project management of building services design projects, CDM, contract / cost management
  • Experience in design calculation software packages: AutoCAD, Dialux and Trimble Amtech (for example)
