About the role
- Own and manage a docket of personal injury, employment, and other litigation matters
- Collaborate closely with outside counsel, in-house attorneys, claims professionals, and safety teams to move cases forward
- Assist with the litigation hold process and the document collection process for litigation, subpoenas, and regulatory matters
- Maintain and update case records, timelines, and other critical data
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and improving contracts, policies, and procedures
- Standardize the end-to-end matter management lifecycle to ensure consistent data capture and seamless transitions from initial intake through to final resolution
- Support legal team in organizing and maintaining eDiscovery workflows and document review processes
- Drive process improvements that enhance data accuracy, team efficiency, and our ability to meet financial reporting and audit requirements
- Design, develop, refine, and simplify legal processes to increase efficiency, support scalability, and ensure quality
- Collaborate with attorneys and cross-functional partners to identify responsive datasets and coordinate technical collections
- Conduct first-pass review of invoices from external counsel and vendors and assist with managing e-billing
- Contribute to special projects and process innovation initiatives that align with Legal's operational goals
- Proactively identify potential legal risks and provide recommendations for mitigation
Requirements
- 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm, in-house legal department, or related field
- Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (paralegal certification is a plus)
