About the role
- Headcount Financial Management:
- Own the financial review of employee cost center assignments and alignment with planned budget and forecast.
- Create regular reports on headcount status for consumption by the Finance and HR teams
- Partner with coach and IT team to implement Workforce process improvements.
- Other Ad-hoc analysis and reporting.
- Workforce SME in the Oracle Planning System.
- Period Close Support and Quarterly Forecasting:
- Review and research discrepancies in assigned cost center and accounts.
- Liaison with assigned functional areas to review differences between plan and actual and forecast updates for the quarters.
- Support creation of quarterly forecasts that will be submitted as part of the Quarterly Earnings Release cycle.
- Assist in creating PowerPoint presentations/updates to Yum! Corp Leadership.
- Other:
- Point person for Yum! HFM Security Requests.
- Ad-hoc projects and business analysis for functions and Yum! Corporate Planning team as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- 3+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with good working knowledge of key fundamental accounting concepts
- Attention to detail and strong organization skills
- Excellent communication, both written and oral, as well as interpersonal skills
- Proven analytical skills and strong desire to learn
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, financial software)
- Preferred: CPA or MBA
- Preferred: Proficient with JDE and HFM
- Preferred: Experience with the restaurant, retail, or consumer goods industry
